You will be responsible for making sure everyone follows the rules, helping out the new and old people, and dealing with the various reports that come across the Square Desk. A moderator stopped by my place in the south wilderness in realm 9, they asked me not to place rude signs, I am not placing these signs. There is a griefer there who keeps destroying and taking stuff and leaves these rude signs. Just to let you know it is not me, I do take them down when I find them.
Congratulations to you three. I hope you can serve the community well along with the community helping in anyway possible to combat any threat to this server. None of us are ever alone.

This is one of th issues with the moderator position. A lot of people, including you, have seen it as a "prize" for being a good person. Unfortunately, those who see moderator as a toy you can obtain, rather than what it's really made for, simply wouldn't work out in the position. However, if you spend time helping others, that is very appreciated.
What I mean is how you worded it. You seemed upset that you "get nothing" for helping others. Those that make good moderators, don't help people to "get stuff" they do it because they're helpful.
Assuming that you deserve the position is all the reason they need to say no to your application. Its shows a quality of greed, which is likely not wanted in our staff.
