  1. Utopia, its obvious from all the mansions.
  2. I really wasn't trying to pick on anyone. Chances are if I had been there at the right times, my opinion would be different. I'm in the US Eastern Time Zone and I see you are in the Western Time Zone. I don't recall finding yours or Krysyy's store, but I did find Alex's through chat when I was there. My first residence was actually on smp2 but I was only there for a week. The first shop I was really impressed with was there: kaenor's. I thought he had a great looking design and he had a lot of items at what seemed decent prices. But I never saw him online and every chest I tried to buy from was empty. Maybe he was on all the time when I was offline or had some RL thing going on, I don't know. But that giant, hollowed-out, lonely skull left an impression on me.

When smp8 & 9 opened a lot of people from smp7 left. I expect others left smp2 and the other servers also leaving open spaces. I'm sure many of them took their building materials with them too and never needed cobble or wood. Supporters' multiple residences and income changes the dynamics too. Several Diamond supporters on one server that are buying materials for a residence would make a big difference. I'm sure it's a lot more complex than either of us think.

One of the things I've found most interesting is watching people grow as they play. Someone will complete the tutorial and start bumbling around trying to learn chat and server commands. The next thing you know they are opening a shop or trying to figure out some redstone gadget. Then a month later you start seeing them on the forum auctioning enchanted items. I think I've seen the same maturation with smp7 too. Someone will try something new, people see it and try it for themselves. Of course, some of the residents already have experience with Minecraft and quietly toil away building nice places. Just when I think I've seen all of them, I'll stumble on something new.
  3. Woohoo! Can't wait to see your new store open on SMP8 :D
  4. Honestly, I have no idea which server has the best economy because I only play on SMP4. I know for a fact that that server doesn't have a great economy. Though it looks like people are mostly saying SMP2.
  5. It'd be interesting if Justin could provide some data on what items are being traded and how many bazillions of rupees are changing hands.
  6. I know you weren't, I was just pointing out that not everyone on an old server is new, or vice versa. It actually is fun watching some players grow, one minute they're just learning the rules, the next they have a megamall set up and are selling all sorts of enchanted items.
  7. i did too, but i might unban you if you could tell me next time...
  8. Unban me? Huh?
  9. you forgot jennypoo10! Oh and i have a shop too! its a work in progress tho.... but our farm is kick a**
  10. smp7, because Gob and I are about to open up a new shop, but thats basically the only good one besides pabs.
  11. this is called bumping guys. :( the last post was my 7th.....
