Of course, I plan on having a spreadsheet with chests/prices and who's selling them. Since each chest has 2 signs one will be an access sign for the shop owner, the other will be a sell/buy sign for the customer.

I've never set up a shop before. It is my understanding that the rupees go to who placed the sign. Wouldn't we all need build perms so that we could set our signs / adjust prices as needed?
I've been wanting to try an idea like this for over a year but I kept running into the same issue: I have to physically be there and supervise every tenant move-in. On top of that, any time a shop owner wants to change prices, I have to be there....waiting and watching. If they allowed subdividing your res into separately manageable pieces then that would be way easier. Good luck with your venture and I might be down for a small shop, will know soon =)
I've not used it, but there is also the createshop flag that allows placement of shop signs. Worth a test on my res tonight I think
Is there a min/max items a user needs to sell to be there? I often have items that I can sell but not enough to make a shop for.
Nah, that's what this is for. I'd like to say to keep the large floors between 20-25 stands, there are two DCs per stand so about 40-50 items. And about half that for smaller floors.
I've begun to set up the stands, they should be finished upon request. To protect shop keepers from losing their products before they've set up. I will turn off buy/sell flags for a week after I've finished setting up the stands.
I'm ready whenever you are. I went by today, but my section is still not ready. No pressure, just let me know when it's ready. It may take me several days to set up, I'm not in town very often anymore.
