We will all see it a bit different, I really think it should have been a new thread as well. My issue wasn't date confusion but I can't see the comments related to this "reset" now without trying to page to the correct starting page in the 11 pages of responses. If it was just about this reset in May then all the comments would be related to the upcoming event. Only my take and I can deal with it either way... ...as I'm not having to do the other work associated with it.
Yay! Although there are a tone of dungeons to loot still and diamonds to be mined. I can see everyone wants to go to the end and collect more shulker shells.
2 weeks ago I was still finding end ships and cities not too far from the end spawn. You just have to know which SMP to go and where to go, if you bring an elytra you can cover huge distances too
Oh I know that all to well. I did the same right before the last reset. I couldn't believe how many untouched end city/ships I found.
I find myself unable to "destroy" even the wastelands when it isn't set to reset... so I love this now because I can tear up stuff and not feel the need to replenish it. I mean I have cut down trees and basically replant the forest because it bugs me or when I do take materials I try to make sure it is still flowing and can be traveled... Not as of today, I'm just taking out mass amounts of what I want to collect with little care of how it looks when I'm done. So while, yes I'm looking forward to both nether and end resets this is just a nice break from my possibly ocd trait relating to terraforming.
After what happened last time, were just going to do resets irregardless of MC updates. If the MC Update comes soon after, well simply reset again in a mere month. (Policy is to always reset on version updates).
Bummer. I just found a place that is perfect for a base of operations! Now It's going to be gone and I will have to find another. Wish I could have it as my res!
People build bases out in the waste so they have a central point for mining and such, not everything everyone builds is a masterpiece designed to look good.
Don't get me wrong here: I fully agree with this decision, getting a fresh land again and new things to discover will definitely make things more interesting again. But... In all fairness, it also was fun talking to players who figured the waste had been dug out, only to haul several stacks of iron out of there to prove them wrong I'm really looking forward to building new tunnels and new mining outposts
This last reset I haven't really gone out and mined. I've been mostly secluded at my outposts working on my nether rails. I might have to go out and mine for the sake of mining.
Then I have a fun tip for you... Start mining directly near an outpost. I'm not even joking! Now, this won't apply to all outposts of course (for example: /waste e, on SMP2). Players may have either build or mined there. But plenty of others... It always surprised and amused me to mine right next to the protected area in the last week before a waste reset and see what I could dig up. So far I managed to grab plenty of emeralds, gold, iron, redstone, etc. All more or less in plain sight
This possibly for Empires update? Haven't really been able to keep up with that update, so looking forward to a thread ... <hint hint>
no... Aikar wouldn't reset waste for Empires because Empires does not have to do with anything of world generation or new blocks, and Aikar has done some incredible progress but is not anywhere done
When is this happening? So all the exp, iron farms in the servers will be gone?? What about the outpost locations? Can we still keep the coords or do we have to claim new ones?
It does not affect the /wild........ Only the /waste is getting reset. This way we have fresh materials to mine. All outposts in the /wild will be safe. Don't worry!!!
