Transfer villager to different residence & different owner

  1. Is there anyway I can transfer a pre 1.8 villager to a different res with a different owner?
  2. It is possible as the player 'Omarwrongchat' has bought 1.7 villagers from someone, I would recommend talking to him about it :)
  3. I've done it. It's very costly. Firstly, both players (Player who has the villager and player who wants it) need to be diamond supporters and have at least 1 free residence slot (Still able to claim a res). The player with the villager would stand on the res where the villager is and type /res changeowner (playername). A box pops up for you to give consent as you will both be charged twenty five thousand rupees and it'll swap two of your residences. Then, start a private conversation with the Senior Staff, tell them where it is, and where you want it moved to, and they'll charge you 10k. Optionally you and the owner of the res where the villager was to begin with can do the whole /res changeowner thing again once this whole mess is over and done with for another 25k each to get the original residences back, but when doing that make sure you don't accidentally swap back the res that you moved the villager to. Hope this was helpful, and sorry if it's a little confusing, as Sach said maybe Omar can explain it better :)
  4. I thought animals got deleted when you unclaim/swap a res? I'm not exactly sure how swap owner works
  5. Thx, I sent him a PM.
  6. When you swap a res it remains in the same state, just different owner, unclaiming a res deletes everything on it :)
  7. So why do both people need diamond? Why does the villager owner need a second res available?

Here's what I understand: person with villager gives the res to the person wanting the villager. New owner of res pays senior staff to move the villager. Player with the res does the command and gives it back.

  8. 1) Both players need to have one open residence slot so as to receive a residence, so you could also do it with gold supporter if you had one residence claimed then got gold.

    2) You both need an available slot to receive the residence you're swapping. I don't like the system either but that's the way Aikar decided it should be done.
  9. Whats the diff between 1.8/1.7/1.11 villagers
  10. Each to their own, but do keep in mind that it's most likely not worth the effort. I assume that you're referring to some 'infinite' villager which trades never expire?

Thing is: villagers on the Empire behave differently from vanilla villagers, every trade you make has a chance to unlock others and if three trade actually lock up together then using another trade will have an even bigger chance (65%) of unlocking everything again. Here is the wiki page on the exact change in trading mechanics.

I can see that this may not weigh up against a fully infinite villager, but if you plan your trading then it's very easy to unlock the same villager again (or keep it unlocked). You may have to sacrifice a few emeralds, true, but you can also see it as getting some extra free items.
  11. It has a certain first trade which I like and you can't get it anymore.

    Certain trades

  12. What trade is it?
  13. I'm guessing it is a priest with ender pearls.... ...but that is just my guess
