My storage is quite rudimentary In the wild I have this, with a few chests for bulk storage upstairs (as I don't have too much stuff in the wild): As for in town, I make good use of 100 vaults even for bulk!

Well that's now completely changed. I was going to make a whole new thread for vault organisation schemes, but then remembered this thread existed. I know a lot of people don't have any sort of vault organisation, but for the people that do, I've found they're quite proud of it. In town I now have 255 vaults, and my wild storage is currently being re-made completely. I just re-sorted my vaults for about the tenth time in a few months (not exaggeration), and decided that this time, I'd go for a visual approach. In /va list, the vaults are organised in rows of 9 (it's a 'chest', after all), so I decided to group my vaults by type of item, in groups of 9 or 18. I was going to fully show off but then I realized just how many gunpowder chests I have and I started laughing at myself. That is 16 total DC's, and I think I have more stored somewhere...
I recently built a new storage room after the old scattered-chests-in-the-middle-of-the-plot-system got too messy and overfilled. The room has ~250 chests and there's 1, 3 or 6 chests worth of storage per item, and also a furnace room and a brewery attached to it.
