[Suggestion] Slightly rework FFA PvP kits

  1. After doing quite a few rounds of FFA PvP, I've noticed a few things with the kits that I feel could be reworked slightly.

    Archer: At the moment, archer seems to be the most dominating kit, since the recent(ish) changes to bows and armor greatly increased the amount of damage that bows can do. As there is no real way to nerf bow damage, I would suggest that the chain armor is changed to gold, resulting in one half less armor bars, which would both slightly weaken the kit and reinforce the point that archers are strong from afar but weak at close range.

    Wizard: This class appears to be the weakest, due to its weak armor (4 bars) and rather low-damage weapon. (Sharp 5 Knockback 2 blaze rod) The change I propose to this kit is to give each piece of armor Protection 1 (roughly 16% damage reduction) and give the blaze rod Fire Aspect 1. These would not only strengthen the kit, but would also make it's name more fitting.

    Scout and Tank: Eh, not in desperate need of reworks

    Please keep in mind that these are just suggestions, and feel free to point out any tweaks to these changes you feel are fitting.

    TL;DR: Make archer's armor gold, give wizard full prot 1 and fire aspect 1

  2. Was making one as you made this thread so Imma paste here

    Tank : When crit-ing, a Tank can beat anyone in a close range battle, and even an archer can struggle against them.
    Idea 1 : Reduce damage to Iron Sword.
    Idea 2 : Keep Diamond Axe and add Slowness 1 as well as remove the ability to Jump. All that Diamond Armor is heavy, so it would make sense for a tank to be slow if they are going to have high damage.

    Wizard : Wizard just sucks. The best strategy for him is to use Knockback to push a player into a corner, separate from everyone else, and just spam attack, but even though damage and defense are so low it is very hard to kill them.
    Idea 1 : Add Flame 1 to the Staff. Boost Attack Damage on the Staff. Add Chainmail Armor.
    Idea 2 : Add Poison, Damage, and Instant Health splash potions as well as a bow with recharge-able Wither arrows (get one wither arrow every 10 seconds, maximum of 1)
    Idea 3 : Turn Wizard into a Pyrotechnic. Give them TNT that primes when placed, flint and steel, permanent fire resistance, and an Iron sword with Fire Aspect 2 on it.

    Archer : Archer is too good. It's just way too good.
    Idea 1 : Change it from infinity to a recharging arrow system, getting 1 arrow every 1.5 seconds with a max of 4, as well as decreasing damage on the bow

    Another suggestion, create an "official games server support thread" for this type of things =P
  6. Add food to the kits so they actually work for 1.9 pvp.
