suggestion-sell promo's for real money

  1. This is towards the bottom under Rule 9 in the wiki:

    • RMT (real money trading) is strictly prohibited. Any attempt to buy or sell any item outside of the Empire Minecraft Community (including, but not limited to Minecraft accounts) will result in a severe punishment. Do not get involved in such transactions.

  2. No and here's why it's one of top rules on Emc. Rule 9

    9. General Other Rules
Do not post misleading links on the Forums and in-game. E.g "Free Rupees here" to a completely un-related Site.
Players should follow the guidelines for in-res games that can be found in the Official Empire Guides forum.
Publicly accusing another player either in Chat or on the Forums is not allowed.
No nude/near nude/inappropriate character skins. This is a family server.
Loaning and banks aren't allowed, info in the Community Marketplace thread.
Attempting to bypass any rules is not allowed.
Do not negatively troll other players. We're all up for a joke, but when people start getting upset, it's no longer funny.
Paypal chargebacks will result in a permanent ban.
RMT (real money trading) is strictly prohibited. Any attempt to buy or sell any item outside of the Empire Minecraft Community (including, but not limited to Minecraft accounts) will result in a severe punishment. Do not get involved in such transactions.
Do not ask for other player's personal (IRL) details.
  3. WAIT!!!!
im not selling im telling emc to sell it
  4. On YouTube, click Share>Copy dat link>Paste it into the Media on EMC

I like your idea on certain levels.
Perhaps only sell the promo for $10 or something for a few days after the promo disappears from the EMC shop and /promo.

And next time, please post the idea in the OP, because videos are an unconventional way to post ideas.
  5. i dont like the idea this encourages pay to win playertypes which emc has always kind of been against sure you can buy rupees but that does not devalue the cost of rupees. players with large bank accounts would suddenly flood the market with orebusters

  6. This idea will not work. EMC/Aikar won't pay for the promos, why should he when he creates them and other players can buy them for rupees, as they're digital and limited to EMC not to the whole of Minecraft.
  7. I think the idea is that you should be able to buy promotional items from EMC for money in real life, much like you would buy a supportership.
  8. How 'bout no.

  9. You could also purchase rupees online then use those to buy a promo with your newly acquired rupees, kind of like how bite explained it, but instead this is how we do it right now and you'd have to find the player who sells the said promo
  10. I agree with what some people said, and I am strongly against this. An other question for you, why would the ore buster have a different price than the rest of the 60k member armor? They all costed the same.
  11. Must have misunderstood what he meant before lol. That doesn't sound like an entirely bad idea... but still has its flaws.
  12. I think he's saying something like the Real money for Rupees. Instead of paying 10$ for x amount of rupees, you'd pay x amount of money for a promo in your vault or something.

You wouldn't be paying any other player, you'd be paying the same as if you were buying rupees.
  13. Because it's much more sought after and used and useful.
  14. Well, it was a flaw in our decision on those items. They were all obviously not equal.

But if we did this, we shouldn't value it on a RL $ => Rupee price scale.

Buying with rupees = same # in circulation.
But buying with RL $ = new added, so it should in theory cost more.

If we sold Ore buster for example for 20$, there wouldn't be a ton added, and it wouldn't upset the value.

We could even explore the idea of any item bought with RL Money is "Account Locked" and can only be used by that user.

This idea is something we've considered, and it def would help the server a bit.

I wouldn't say we should rule this idea out, as when we get to redesigning the supporter system with "credits", my general idea is that we could also sell items for credits, so buying an item with credits earned from voting and referring isn't too bad of an idea now is it?
