Removing people from your residence

Discussion in 'Empire Help & Support' started by Mr_Haynes, Oct 5, 2013.

  1. Hello,

I was just wondering if its possible and/or if there is a command to kick or ban someone from your residence?
  2. You can stop someone entering your res by using /res pset NAME move f
Here's the wiki page for more info on removing individual flags:

    Flags

    What are Residence Flags?(top)

Residence flags are permissions which control what other players can and cannot do on your Residence. For example: the build flag controls who can build on your Residence. Opening a chest or accessing a block which contains other blocks (a furnace for example) is controlled by the container flag.

These flags can be set for everyone or per player. For example, normally you wouldn't want everyone to access your chests, but you may have a few close players that you trust won't steal anything. If a player does not have permissions, then they are unable to steal from you or destroy anything on your plot.

Warning: If players abuse the flag(s) you gave them then the staff can't always help you. By giving players a flag you're also giving them permission to use it, so make sure that you only give flags to players you trust.

    Flag Commands(top)

/res info - Review all flags for the Residence you are standing on. If you hover over a name on this list the specific flags they have will be shown.

/res default - Reset all flags on your Residence to the default state.

Instead of Commands you may use the chest user interface, which is explained below.

Set: Setting flags for your whole Residence(top)

Using these Commands would affect all players.
    • To set a flag for everyone (allow something) use: /res set [[flag] true].
Example: /res set use true; this would allow everyone to open doors and/or push buttons on your Residence.
    • To deny a flag for everyone (disallow something) use: /res set [[flag] false].
Example: /res set use false; this would deny everyone to open doors and/or push buttons on your Residence. The exact opposite from the first command.
    • To reset a flag for everyone (set back to the default value): /res set [[flag] remove].
Example: /res set use remove; this would remove the flag from the list of set flag and set its value to the default (by default no one can use things on your Residence).

Note: You can shorten the true, false and remove Commands by using the first letter only (t, f and r). Also, if the parameters confuse you then you can simply leave them out. That will take you to the 'chest interface'. For example: /res set.

Gset: Setting flags for Residence Groups(top)

Using these Commands will give flags to anyone in certain Residence Groups.
    • To give a flag to a group: /res gset groupname [[flag1] true].
      • Example: /res gset myfriends build true; this would allow anyone in your myfriends group to build on your Residence.
    • To deny a flag from a group: /res gset groupname [[flag1] false].
      • Example: /res gset enemies move false; this would prevent anyone in your enemies group from coming onto your Residence.
    • To remove a flag from a player (set it back to default): /res gset groupname [[flag1] remove].
      • Example: /res gset griefers build remove. This removes the build flag from the griefers group; you'd normally use this after you have already given a flag to someone.
Note: If the parameters confuse you then you can also simply leave them out, this will take you to the easier to use 'chest interface'. Example: /res gset groupname.

Pset: Setting flags for an individual player(top)

Using these Commands would affect a single player only.
    • To give a flag to a player (allow him/her to do something): /res pset playername [[flag] true].
      • Example: /res pset Aikar build true; this would allow Aikar to build on your Residence.
    • To deny a flag from a player (don't allow them to do something): /res pset playername [[flag] false].
      • Example: /res pset Aikar move false; this would prevent Aikar from coming onto your Residence. You can undo this by removing this flag again, use the previous command ('remove') for that.
    • To remove a flag from a player (set it back to default): /res pset playername [[flag] remove].
      • Example: /res pset Aikar build remove, this removes the build flag from Aikar; you'd normally use this after you have already given a flag to someone (see previous command).
Note: You can also leave out the parameters and only specify the playername. This will take you to the easier to use 'chest interface'. Example: /res pset Aikar.

Cset and cpset: Setting from a chest interface(top)

Using the cset command gives players the option of setting flags from a chest interface instead of Commands.
    • To set permissions for everyone: /res cset [residence number].
    • To set permissions for one player: /res cpset [!residence number] [playername].
    • To set permissions for a group: /res cgset [group name].
The icons will give you an indication what kind of flag is represented, the round dyes below them indicate the state (pink indicates a set flag, blank a default flag). Hover your mouse over the dye to see more details.

You can left click on the round dye to toggle flags and right click to reset them back to default.

Cset is also useful in determining the current flag states, and changing large amounts of flags quickly.
