I'm not totally sure if this post is in the right category, but oh well. Here is the issue: I have a friend, Diamond_Catcher, who hadn't signed on to Empire for several months. Yet, when he got back on, he STILL had his residence. I thought that the derelict period was only a month? I've noticed this with another friend of mine. She didn't get on for a long time, yet she still had everything, even though she should've been derelict. Is something not working? Has anyone else noticed this? This isn't necessarily an issue, but I'm just wondering if stuff is working like it is supposed to. (none of these players had derelict protection)
Derelict doesn't immediately reclaim a residence at the 30 day mark. What that date does, is open the residence for /forceclaim. And also the system may choose it for reclaiming. But the system runs as needed. Not constantly. https://empireminecraft.com/servers/ There are plenty of open residences. Which makes me believe derelict is running fine.
