Note on the discount: for the SMP2 express, it is 400r for members not in any of the other expresses. But, for every other express you are in (for a total of 8, which is 1 and 3-9), you will receive a 10% discount! This means that if you're in the SMP1 Express, SMP3 Express, all the way to SMP9, you would receive a whopping 90% discount (that's 360r!)! I will, of course, need to see proof by asking the owner(s) of the express(es) that you say you are in! EDIT: For every person you refer, you get 10% of the amount they pay! So, if you're in the other SMP Expresses when you join, and you refer your friend, that means that you get the SMP2 Express for free! Now, who doesn't like free stuff?
If someone wants to join the project (under the "Quartz Express" TM) with her/his own track - like 5chris100 - - there has to be similar quality of the track / service - there has to be admission fee >= 200r, better 400r, same for all tracks - we need a private conv to check rebates

Your friend has to first pay the owner/creator of the Express, then have their OK on proceeding. Then, you (or someone you know who purchased a spot for the Express) have to show him/her how to use the Express properly. Godspeed to you and your friend!
Are you guys surveying the areas you are going through on each server before you build? Some people have gone to a lot of trouble to build way out in the Nether and likely won't be very happy when a bunch of people are brought right through or to an area where they thought they had a reasonable expectation of privacy.
The primary idea is to get to uninhabited, not yet generated areas. But yes, the plan is to talk to the people who might be interested in having or not having a railway connection. If you know of an outpost that would like to have a fast railway connection, please let me know. The branch connecting the outpost can be well hidden.
I was thinking that for the SMP2 Express, if we went through an open area, we can cover the exposed tunnel with Netherrack so it would look semi-natural and would not be of interest.

That ok just make your rail invisible, sorted We so out best to avoid running into ppls bases and tunnels but with so many in the nether's its imposable to avoid getting close to some parts of them, but as I said we do our best.
lol I sell quartz at 13131 but this is not advertising for you to buy quartz. Rather its to advertise an Rail system that will take you thousands of blocks through the nether safely within 8 - 10 min to get to the area where you can then go and mine the quartz. That part is not so safe with the ghastly ghasts The payment of 400r is a one off fee to use the rail on smp7 only use of any other system will incur an additional small charge with proof of your first payment!
