  1. I made a post on toms hardware, and now I have all the parts chosen for a great computer to run all these upcoming games. This is what I got;
    CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($219.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper T4 70.0 CFM Rifle Bearing CPU Cooler ($9.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H110M-A Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($45.99 @ Newegg)
    Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory ($39.89 @ OutletPC)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($47.49 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB GAMING Video Card ($249.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Case: NZXT S340 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case ($59.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA GS 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply($80.98 @ Newegg)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit ($88.91 @ OutletPC)
    Case Fan: NZXT RF-FN122-RB 45.0 CFM 120mm Fan ($5.99 @ Directron)
    Case Fan: NZXT RF-FN122-RB 45.0 CFM 120mm Fan ($5.99 @ Directron)
    Speakers: Genius SW-G2.1 70W 2.1ch Speakers ($81.99 @ Newegg)
    Total: $937.19
I might cut down on the speakers and case to save a bit, but otherwise I think its great and will run No Mans Sky
  2. Why are you buying a $45 H series motherboard and putting a flagship CPU in it..? If you're going to buy an i5-6600k, you should really be getting something at least Z series like this. By cheaping out on an H110M motherboard, you're losing features and also removing your ability to overclock.

Also, since you're going for a nearly $1000 build, you should really throw an SSD into your build to speed up your boot times and general OS snappiness immensely. Something like this, in combination with your HDD for games and large files, should do the trick.

  6. I might get it once the PC port kinda stabilizes, I like the idea of exploring a massive universe and finding different species of alien life and etc.
  7. Looks like a fun game to get into and play once in a while until the devs add more content, but right now do not buy... 5/7 game

"No Man's Sky is also a pretty good allegory for humanity's problems.

You're promised this exciting journey full of adventures... but it turns out to consist mostly of frustrating repetitive tasks. You're told that you live in this world filled with wonders and beautiful places... which you'll probably never see. You're excited to finally meet this other person you've been looking for so long... but then they never show up. And at the end of it it seems like all your work finally pays off, you finally get to the point where you can simply enjoy it all and then... it just ends in the most disappointing way possible."
  13. Have you seen the news? They are granting tons of refunds to everyone for just no mans sky. Doesnt matter how long you have had/played the game. People with 100+ hours got refunds. On PS4 and steam. My refund is pending right now.
  14. From what I've seen on reddit, most people above the 20+ range have a lower chance of getting accepted.
  15. Have not gone through comments, but-

I play on console, and it runs fine for me, but it was made for PS4, so yeah.

The trailer was very hyped-up, and for good reason. It looked like just an amazing game.

I picked it up a few days ago, and the very first time I started it, I was like whoa, cool! I fixed my ship, went to space, yadda yadda yadda. I thought the procedurally generated planets were really cool, and being the first to discover all of this. It was uber-fun the first few hours. I engaged in space battles and found new aliens to talk to.

Where the trailer went wrong was the promise of the multiplayer feature. The ending of the trailer made it look like you can go and find all these new systems with your buddies and have a great time, but this isn't true, obviously. Due to this, the game can feel very very lonely.

I'm on my 12 or 13th star system by now, following the path of the Atlas, and I can say that I do still enjoy the game, but that's coming from someone who loves space, loves exploration, loves finding new things, basically most of what the game has to offer, but it can still feel bare.

I feel this way too. I think that a few DLCs and some patches and this game could be amazing.
