let's talk about skyrim!

lol, i avoid playing the main story line anyway xD
i just like wandering around getting sneak perks for killing bandits while never being noticed. tis fun, fun fun fun.

I tend to use my gravity defying horse that can climb the largest mountain then falling on my horse and landing on pedestrians...

Well... Sorry, meghs. I've never played, but have heard so much about this game. I will get it and try it just so I dont get bombarded with "eeks"...

its a very good game though, i would suggest getting the legendary edition though, it has the 3 extra content stuff that is worth it
such as being able to build your own house and much more.

Bought this game a while ago, my PC was too bad to play it back then, but it's better now. Will give it a go. Imperials or Stormcloaks?

stormcloaks.. i can't stand how ignorant and rude the imperials are from the start. the stormcloaks seem to have a solid reasoning for their motives... imperials have this brat attitude toward everything and remarks to everything. though, one thing i hate more than the imperials is delphine. THAT WOMAN I HATE WITH A PASSION.
i seriously would just love to take the essential off her life and slam a sword into her face.

the first time you walk into the inn she helps run, she is so rude to her husband or whoever he is standing behind the counter "are you listening to me!" she yells.. while i'm trying to buy things from him... then he says "yes, ale is going bad..." then she yells "good, seems you don't have potatoes in your ears afterall" I JUST WANT TO SLAUGHTER HER.
... then when she DEMANDS, not asks, you to kill paarthanax..... THAT DOES IT. FUS RO DAH OFF THE MOUNTAIN

Keep in mind the Stormcloaks are also massively racist

I've played through both the Imperial and Stormcloak storylines and I really don't know which one I like siding with most. Stormcloaks do have solid reasoning for loads of things, but so do Imperials. I also enjoyed the Imperial characters slightly more than the Stormcloak characters. Bethesda done a great job of blurring the 'good guy' and 'bad guy' line, which I wish they could have done with Fallout 3.

Beheading Tullius was one of the most satisfying things I have ever done in a video game though. I can't stand the old coot >.>

I played it on my xbox360 for like a year. I bought it on my laptop recently, but it runs at 3fps. So no skyrim.

Though, the one strangest thing that happened was killing the high king. Like, oh no, he's dead! Let's not care at all!
that, and halfway through the game I wanted hjerim so badly, but I couldn't get it because of the tons of bugs with getting that stupid house. What's worse is to get it you'd need to wait around a graveyard for a scene to start, but the bug I had didn't start the scene. So I was staring at dead things for like half an hour.

Did you register your game from steam or did you use activation codes?

If you did register with steam, I'm trying to figure out how to install the Tamriel Reborn mod you showed us.

Is this only for PC? I am planning on purchasing Xbox 360 edition.

mods have nothing to do with steam at all.. i did purchase the game via steam though, but, mods don't go through steam at all. and i recommend not downloading mods from the steam workshop.. most link to nexus but i've heard a lot of issues with those from there.
did you download it from the nexus website? usually, if you don't have the mod loader manager, which to me, it is easier to have the manual download.. just click the "manual download" instead of the manager one.. once it is done.. go to your start/computer/local disk/program files/steam/steam apps/common/skyrim/data
and unzip or open the download folder with 7zip and just put (texture/meshes/sounds) folders in and select yes when it says overwhite/add or whatever and the esp/bsa file in with the other files like it.

BUT, if you have an issue, there are direction to install on every mod anyway.. which you should look over anyway. usually in the description it will say if it needs any other mods, make sure you download and install those too. but this is what my skyrim data folder looks like..

So skyrim update time!

so just a hour ago I got on skyrim to start playing. when I join in I was in whiterun. and everyone who could be killed was dead. even merchants. after 5 minutes of remembering what happened I remember a buddy of mine getting on skyrim. clearly he went on a killing rampage... and he saved so many times so I lost the old save. after maybe 1 or 2 mintes of scrolling after I couldn't find it I gave up to do my skyrim hobby. jumping of cliffs into rivers... so I got on my horse found the large mountain and jumped...and my horse ragdolled the greatest ragdoll I ever seen... so after I went to riverside. where I saw everyone there killed to. in the end I decided to climb to the area at the top of the tallest mountain and sit and enjoy the crappy xbox 360 version graphics...

This is Ra'Shirr. Hobbies include:
-Sniping entire bandit strongholds undetected*
-Endlessly trolling draugr with Magelight
-Finally dispatching said draugr by placing Fire Rune and then luring them over with Magelight
-Using Oil Trap grenades to turn an entire hallway into an incinerator. And leaving a Fire Rune as the match.
-Introducing Thalmor patrols to the concept of low-Nirn orbit, with the help of a friendly neighborhood giant.
-Collecting a half-dozen followers, then telling them all to stay put before battle because not one of them understands the fine art of stealth...
-Collecting All The Books!
*To be fair, Skyrim's stealth mechanics do leave something to be desired. "What was that? Eh, must've been my imagination. My buddy isn't really laying there with an arrow protruding from his back..."

I don't take screenshots very often, starting to rethink that habit. Some nice scenery there, Battmeghs. One mod I'd highly recommend for you would be iHud, which is a deceptively simple thing that keeps the UI invisible until you actually need it (or you can toggle it on/off with a key if you need to).

And on the subject of mods... I've restarted Ra'Shirr about a half-dozen times to try out new / different mod lists. My most recent set is largely my girlfriend's doing - she brought her install with her a few weeks back, to play while I was at work, and I decided to give hers a try (with a few of my own additions).

As of right now, Shirr is lvl 29 and clearing out bandits in the Whiterun countryside with some help from Illia, Rosa (my GF's character, in NPC form), and Kharjo.

If you think Delphine is bad, you haven't run into Maven yet. I side with the Imperials myself (Cannot stand Ulfric) but the one major downside to that is, it puts the Blackbriars in charge of Riften.
The last incarnation of Shirr made a habit of travelling with Mjoll at first and had her along as part of his battle company for the Civil War stuff - after discovering that she'd unintentionally helped put Maven on the jarl's throne, she quit the party and refused to talk to Shirr. So, naturally, there was only one way to make it up to her.
And the next morning, the guards found Ms. Blackbriar's bloodied corpse in the Jarl's bedchambers.
...Good thing I didn't plan on joining the Thieves Guild for that game...
