initial thoughts about the Rupees System.. (Important discussion imo)

  1. You are saying that EMC will suffer a massive case of hyperinflation. This is simply not true. EMC's prices on items are actually steadily going down, as people are continuously competing for stores' lowest prices. And, this is a bit hard to compare to the real world, because in the real world, there are hundreds of countries and hundreds of different currencies, making printing/minting money the best way to bankrupt a country. But, in EMC, there is only one country, and no one pays taxes, and there is one single monetary system. Putting more rupees in circulation means that everybody gets a little richer, and they can buy more items. But, the locked chests etc. in the wild, along with the EMC shop, and other miscellaneous fees (like the vault) regularly take money out of circulation. I will admit that more money is going in to circulation on EMC every day, but it is not enough to cause any kind of hyperinflation.
  2. If this happened, the economy would literally fail. It would make it to where there is no way to put more money in circulation, and money would just go out of circulation. It would be like stopping the printing of money altogether and then have the government hoard tax money. If that happened, everybody would become poor.
