I am aware of that. The mail is for when they return to town, so they don't have to start over completely.

This is an extremely old post, but since it has already been bumped up, I'll add my 2r worth.

The longer you are in lava, the longer you stay on fire when out get out. So Kevmeup is correct, the fastest way out and with the least burn time afterwards is an ender pearl. That is if you don't have a fire resist on you.
