  1. hai fwens :)

i have really really been twitching to start a hardcore forever world.. but i am scurrrr'd.
i am a builder. i am hella creative, i mean have you seen the batcave? lol

anyway, the fear of losing my precious things makes it scary, also this game is scary.

..... i don't even like going to the nether when i check "keep inventory after death" so i don't really know how i am supposed to survive hardcore at all... is it just a dream i'll never achieve? do i just give in and just keep playing normal craft? lol ... is surviving in a hardcore world really impressive at all? should i even bother?

anyway, have you played hardcore? do you have any tips, tricks, sneaky little things you've learned yourself? i am very skilled at outside the box survival.. i can man handle a survival island with a single tree that doesn't even drop a single sapling... i can dominate those any day.. but hardcore? scary!
worth it? waste of time? whatcha think? i just wanna spice up my play style recently.. all i ever do is survival islands where the wandering trader and cured zombie villagers are my only friend.. most of the time i don't even have a single animal. i can give tips on island life all day long XD

the nether on hardcore? eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh. i dunno if i'm built that good. haha

  2. I've always loved my hardcore worlds! If I play singleplayer MC, it will be on a HC world. Speaking of which, your post makes me want to start a new one... You seem quite confident in yourself if you plan to have a 'forever' hardcore world. ;) I've made and lost a few nice worlds over the years. I wouldn't let the fear of losing your hard work stop you. Take pictures/videos and document your progress. Maybe it's just me, I have fun with the journey along the way and see how far I can go until something tragic happens because it is an inevitability that you'll eventually die. The nether is pretty scary nowadays, but if you play safely and over-prepare, it's not too much to handle. I find that the ways in which I die are getting complacent, forgetting basic things, or doing dumb stuff. Examples of some of my deaths include flying too fast and smacking something, forgetting fire res pots, forgetting milk for cave spiders, fall damage, creepers sneaking up when you've got an elytra/gold armor on, taking on a skele with a god bow... I have died in the nether too but it's usually only early in my worlds. My later world deaths sting more because they tend to be from me doing something really silly.

One of my favorite HC worlds was an amplified world type, some of the biomes had really cool and wild ways of generating the terrain, especially when you had a few biomes close to each others border. If I remember correctly that world perished when a skele shot me with a strong bow right after a creeper ambush exploded me. (I should have had a lot more kitties around my base)

As for tips, if you have something specific I can try to answer that but for general tips, it is mostly basic. At the start of my hc worlds, I usually try to start and find a village, preferably with a blacksmith. I'll use it as a temporary home until I have gear and food to find something else that is permanent.

Mushroom biomes are amazing if you can find them because hostile mobs don't spawn on them obviously.

Ocelots are a necessity around your home-base to minimize the creeper threat

Last general tip I'll give is to over-prepare for whatever dangerous situation you're gearing for.

Goodluck if you decide to start a HC world! Don't let the fear of losing it keep you from starting!
