One of the newer Subaru Impreza WRX STIs, though buy modern standards I suppose even these are getting relatively "old"... But here is where it is at. The classic Impreza P1. I would love one of these or a similar edition! A particular favourite is the Impreza Catalunya, and I know someone with a Series McRae - a seriously rare model and ultra cool!
We had some Jap with Subaru, but why not more? Starting with this Nissan Silvia S14! Personally, I like these quite a lot, the Nissan Skyline R32. Great shape, much nicer than the R33 in my opinion!
Moving away from Jap and now onto German with a couple of Audis! A tastefully modified semi-modern saloon... Also, a yellow Audi TT! I have not been a massive fan of the older TT I must admit, but the colour and overall simplicity of this one had me liking it...
A common theme with a lot of meets, a lot more Jap incoming! This time in the form of a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo, this one being an IV (4) edition! One clean looking Nissan Silvia S14 here too!
Would love one of these older Imprezas, looks like a UK 2000 Turbo edition Some seriously old Jap now in the form of a Datsun, I believe a 240Z! Proper old school awesome stuff this!
I've been trying to get a picture of my friend's (father's) with the headlights popped out, but I can only do that if she's driving, and if I see her driving at all, it's usually hard to get a picture from the front.
I thought you might recognise it, I remember you mentioning her driving one earlier on! Toyota Chaser - a match made in heaven, JDM saloon warrior! One of the best Fiats of all time, and one of the best sounding for sure, the 20 valve turbo five cylinder Fiat Coupe...
Another you don't see many of, the Saab 900, with some tasteful Ronal Turbo alloys too! Nissan 200SX and Nissan Silvia S15 sitting pretty together...
A lovely mk1 Toyota MR2 (AW11), mid-engined pop-up headlight warrior And that brings this event to a close... I hope you enjoyed, next up Race Retro, and then Spring Action Day at Castle Combe to come!
Could anyone else try going to page 88 and before to see if the pictures load? It seems the pictures aren't loading up anymore, may just be a hiccup on my end though, at least I'm hoping so... The next album is Race Retro, another truly great rally event! Here is the link to the Facebook album: https://www.facebook.com/pg/fendysphotos/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1642246595869378 As soon as I entered, I was greeted by this... So great to see a fellow Panda 4x4 classic owner driving their car about, I did leave a note but no reply Great fan of the classic Impreza, this is an awesome Terzo edition, spotted in the VIP Race Retro car park at the front of the halls entry building!
Thanks, seems only a few are loading from a few pages back, something to keep an eye on... it'll be annoying if it keeps doing it after a little bit of time! Surprisingly enough, I knew Race Retro would bring some quattro goodies, little did I know the immediate VIP car park at the front of the building would present itself with two immediately A Sport replica to start... And after, a more conventional quattro Turbo, and still a beauty in every right!
I really like the Peugeot 205 hatchback, there's not too many nice Peugeots but this one was done really well. Being the Rallye edition, this is one of my favourites too, and this one in the VIP car park was particularly clean and fresh looking! Plenty of rally action to come, starting off with this awesome and very rare Opel! Most Opel GTEs you see will be Mantas (and even they are rare enough), but this Kadett GTE is a particular rarity!
Seeing more quattro is always awesome. This one is on German plates - a long way to come for a rally event in the UK but great to see such an awesome turnout and passion from owners overseas as well! Love the look of these old Datsun rally cars, and the colour schemes are awesome too. Such a shame there's not many of these about!
The mighty Ford Escorts out in force. We do see an Opel Ascona photobombing at the back of the shot here... A nicely coloured rally spec 205 GTI!
A beautiful shot featuring this awesome quattro build with various other classic rally legends in the background! Getting into some track action now, and it has to be said this WRC spec Impreza is absoultely awesome!
One of the awesome quattros of the day being chased by a Ford Escort! The best Ford Escort or at least most favoured for rallying is the mk2, here is one in action!
This Vauxhall Nova GTE was quite nimble! Just look at the height on the front wheels here - most people slow down a lot for the speed bump, not this guy, what a take-off!
Double quattro action, showing off the Sport in the yellow colours and the A2 in the original colours behind it!
