VW Scirocco mk1 - don't see these at all, seen a few mk2s around, albeit rarely, but the mk1 is a rarer beast! I get the feeling I say "You don't see these anymore" way too much, but it's entirely true...
The Morris Ital, not sure I've ever seen one, at least in my time as a photographer! The best of the best... not just a mk1 Escort in mint condition, but a Mexico. Whether it's a real Mexico or not, it's hard to tell, but if it is real, this costs a fortune! And it probably still costs a fortune if it isn't as well, if we consider the prices of mk1 Ford Escorts now
One rare little classic Honda... another I'm not sure I've ever seen! Seems this event was great for obscure finds, but it still presents some of the more common classics - and we absolutely do not mind when it comes in the form of a classic Mini!
Two vehicles that differ a lot but are similar in other aspects - both built to do a similar thing, one American and one British! The British one is better of course... Here is the best Jeep! Still no match for a Series Land Rover though
Panda! Panda 4x4 Sisley! I wonder who that could be We've got a few more Minis coming up now, starting with this estate Clubman! Not much left of this album now, afterwards there is now a choice of two - Audi Driver and Panda 4x4 event!
I'm glad to hear it, I think I'll go chronologically for ease, which means Audi Driver first! There will be another racing event next month too so no shortage of photos this winter Old cars had some amazing special editions as we know by this thread by now, but here are some more really interesting ones we saw at Tetbury. Starting off with this awesome Racing Green edition classic Mini, I love the little details they put into these editions... It may not be a lot, but it certainly is awesome. My favourite classic Mini special edition was there as well though, the Mini Thirty, celebrating 30 years of the classic Mini in 1989. With 3,000 made, some 500 still remain on the roads with even more on SORN, meaning over a sixth of these cars and possibly a third of them all have survived this time period. In comparison to the Panda special editions, that's a whopping amount of cars still alive. Most the Pandas are under 1% survival rate now. I'm glad to see such an awesome edition has survived, and just take a look at the condition of this one!
The penultimate post for the Tetbury show, this one containing a gem of a car - the Hillman Imp. A make that no longer operates and a make that even back in the day wasn't very big compared to various others, but everyone knew about the Imp, and they're just as awesome as ever! Cute little cars! While we've seen Imps before, here was one we had never seen before. It looks like an Imp but it's more of an estate/van, and that's because it is! I've never seen one before, so looking just now, I tried to find similar by using Hillman Imp estate in a google search. The search turned up the name of Hillman Husky, though the Husky was also a different shape, so there is a lot to learn about this one! Such a cool little thing!
The older RX7s are great, this one was tucked away at Tetbury! Elford Turbo apparently, don't know much about that, but sounds special
With the Tetbury Classic Car Show album ended, and with Panda images not yet uploaded, it's time to get cracking with Audi Driver International 2017! Here is the link to the Fendy Photography album: https://www.facebook.com/pg/fendysphotos/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1482051871888852 Now, starting with the Audi UK fleet Audi R8 - with what I thought was an awesome flying shot. Unfortunately, the picture isn't as sharp as I had hoped, but it's still a good try! While the old 5 pot turbo is the sound of dreams, Audi still make that same 5 pot turbo (with a bit more power nowadays!). It's always a shame when things like the old Audi Coupe are eventually killed off and replaced, and while the TT is the closest thing now and it isn't quite the same, I have to respect the fact that the TT RS model shares an awesome 5 pot turbo engine!
You should see my face when I see the first real quattros of the event Oh yeaaaah, plenty more of these in the album, you betcha The classic always wins!
An original S2 Audi Coupe mk2, becoming just as rare as the old mk1 now really! I spoke to this guy a few times at this event, it's always nice when you get to meet people and actually interact at these events rather than just watch. An uprated VW engine in this mk1 VW Golf, lovely car, and gave lots of fast cars a run for their money which we shall see in some pictures later on!
I think the latest style TT RS 5 pot turbo is the best style they've done yet. Doubt they'll ever go cheap, but if they did, I'd take one... But here's where my heart truly lies, something classic Audi like this 80 Sport B2. Beautiful car in a nice colour!
One proper big boat of an Audi, this awesome 2.0 Audi 100 Phwoar... Audi UK's very own Audi quattro 20v, one of the last quattros off the line with the biggest 5 cylinder engine made at the time, turbo and twice the valves of the earlier models, this was one hell of a beast. And Audi UK have kept this one in remarkable condition, amazing!
Audi UK showing off their nice blue TT RS 5 pot next to the red classic 5 pot Coupe quattro... Keeping with classic instead then because that's what we like to see, here's that awesome Coupe GT we see around from time to time with the quad lamp grilles Proper tidy still!
Sorry not sorry, more awesome classic Audi 80! In terms of quattro Coupe Turbo, there is actually way too much to post! We'll start off with this awesome clean red example, though bear in mind there are a lot of extra photos of other quattros in the full album
Oh go on, I know you want to see another one of the lovely old quattros This one was spotted in my town by my father the other night, maybe it is local! I hope to see it!
With another album soon to be uploaded to the main page, I best get a move on! Here's an awesome Audi 80 quattro in striking red... Speaking of red Audi 80s, you don't tend to see the original 80 much, to be honest you don't see many of the ones as above compared to the more modern ones as well!
