Greetings my fellow Empire Minecraftians, my name is Laae and I am here today to announce my run in the 2019 Empire Minecraft Presidential Election. Some may ask: "Laae, why run for president? What do you know about leading a server like Empire Minecraft?" And my answer will be sweet and short for those folks: because I can. Leading a server is very relatable to being a project manager which is what I do for a living. I have the skills to make sure what I need to get done, will get done, no matter the cost. And that I always work toward the goal of making my customer happy with doing what they want but having the influence to steer them into something that will make them not regret in the end. Let's face it, Empire Minecraft isn't doing as well as it did back in the good old days. Where everyone would welcome new players almost simultaneously or where servers were so full that you could actually use the reserved slot benefit from a supportership. But I have a plan, a plan to Make Empire Minecraft Great Again! My plan is to first put more resources into spreading awareness of our server through advertisements on all sorts of platforms like forums instead of just voting sites. Next, we need up our developing game, we have so many things on the table but not enough people to help complete those things so I recommend putting more of our resources towards that by increasing our developer application acceptance rates. These changes will help make our server not only better for those new coming in, but better for those who are already part of our community and make it a more lasting and fun experience. My name is SoulPunisher, otherwise known as AltPunisher and Synth_Apparition, and I'm running for EMC President 2019. I have been a member of this great community for seven years. I served on the original contribution team, as well as the official one for two years. I've seen all of its highs and its lows, players come and go. I've seen what makes the people here tick. As your lawfully presidented president, I will endeavour to ensure that SMPs work in perfect harmony. For too long, players have split themselves across different servers have become isolated. We are one community and one server, and we should be working together. We should not stick to our home server. We should be engaging with eachother's economies, talking to one another, playing together in the wilderness, and starting joint-server ventures. We have a great community. We have a great community that the right people should be able to accessibly visit and enjoy. We must grow. To work towards this goal, I shall create more log in bonuses, encouragement for people to refer others to our great server, increase community engagement from the top-down, and give people a plethora of reasons to join, stick with us, and contribute. Our community has many other communities within it. We work together. That's always what this server has done. One way this takes form is the wild outposts. We range from the Last Light Outpost, an incredibly large outpost, to smaller mining bases of just a few people. For too long these outposts have been neglected. As your President, I shall make these outposts feel valued. I will increase awareness to them for new players and refer players to them, and commission the contribution team to run a monthly outpost tour on the blog, similar to JDHallows' series. Together, we will create a server for the many, not the few.
Hello EMC, I decided to throw my hat in the ring for the race of presidency. I'm a straight forward and honest man. What I see is majority of candidates here in this thread are being robots (Which I was one) and saying "Include all SMPS" and some are going to the extremes of baiting with promos for your vote. I say we need direct action, not promise or bait. If I have your vote, I have created a direct policy proposal which has no hidden clauses between the lines. For far to long EMC has created a place where smps are larger than others due to new players favoring them because of lack of players in the other smps. I being a smp6 resident, popularity of my smp has died off from games server taking it's place as the pvp hub. I as many of my party will try their hardest to creates events which included the less populated servers in hopes of making better for all. This policy will encourage staff to throw "Throw back" events in these smps where the games server has taken over. I will also work with Devs to make sure the smp which new players find is more fair and not biased. Lets keep EMC on track of being a community driven place. Not a forgotten one.
