Empires Question re: protocol

I have a question about Empire in the Frontier. I am not sure if this is a community discussion about how we want the Empires Update to be formatted or is a request for a sneak peek at plans. I would just like to understand what's going on.

1. Tresspassing?


While checking on a currently claimed outpost, I noticed evidence of other players coming through the area. I have not yet noticed any issues that I need to make a report about, but some of the things that have been done are 'treasure hunting' in nature: Shipwrecks with items left floating, wood tools at ocean ruins, villages with things broken.

Probably no one noticed they were even on Claimed Land. There are no bright orange boundary markers on the map - live map isn't even reliable for blacked out areas. No notices in chat that someone ignored, like when "bmode is on" that pop up. Nothing.

2. Loot Chests

These things can't be un-done. Loot chests won't ever fill again (at current settings, as I understand it). These locations are inside an Empire - are they off limits? What is the plan here?
I would prefer to have loot chests refill in the Frontier and have said so. This seems like the easiest fix until the Empires grief protection is rolled out *in the future*. No clue what happens to the chests that have already been looted... And no, no real idea why treasure hunters are out in the Frontier at all. Gold blocks at a ruined portal are absolutely not a good find when you have used up most of an elytra to get there from spawn.

Loot chests that are in the way of someone's Empire should be able to ask to have them deleted and the desert temple or whatever it was can be razed to the ground. However, if we aren't doing that, then why can't they refill?

What exactly is the point of granting land claims of outposts, after all this time? Your base answer here is confusing the heck out me. It sounds like the only thing a claim protects is the placing of b-moded blocks...

Upon further inspection, the nether tunnel leading to this outpost was broken into.

Natural spawned netherrack wall blocks were broken and dirt blocks were used to get onto and across bmoded netherbrick wall blocks.

I am extremely saddened to find that senior staff have no regard for established players and that a simple discussion of the whole purpose of the server cannot be had with any seriousness

You'll notice I waited nearly 24 hours between posting that the nether tunnel had been broken into and waiting to see if you had anything to add to your "poetic" non-answer.

In my very first sentence of the very first post, I asked if there was a plan for part 2 of the Empires release or if there was need of a community discussion.

You have explained there is no plan. We all know you are a one-man-band. I believe that I have been respectful in my interactions with you and generally have been very supportive of the server and trying to generate ideas, while not dragging down Emc's name.

The Frontier Outposts have long been believed to be a protected, if not sacred idea. Something that players can aspire to build.

And yet...

Came back few days ago to the game, saw a steep decline in forums and ingame activity from my time playing years ago.

Now with this thread I just realized how dire the situation is...

It all comes down to a Volunteer to basically keep the game going? Yeah that's not a good sign of the state of things.

If it would help, I am available to reline the nether tunnel with protected blocks of your design. I assisted Blockhead with protecting a tunnel to his outpost and at the same time we placed an ice rail, regular rail and a little later a furnace cart rail for getting items back to an outpost.

I've become great friends with the piglins so it'll be a piece of cake.

Yeah that's messed up that a replacement wasn't set up beforehand. Both sides of that coin are super important but they can't be the same person.

chicken stated he feels alone at times due to the way things are. There are people that have been standing by his side and I am one that will continue to do so.
I am not the best coder and yet chicken (and Aikar in the past) have allowed me to help in the ways I can. I also cannot be directly involved as much as I was in the past menaing more work for chicken. I feel like I have let chicken and the community down due to this.
To the point. The amount of time and energy I see chicken put toward this community is staggering so please, understand, that from my limited access I can see chicken fighting for this community everyday. Let's have discussions but try to remember that we are all burdened, chicken the most, with the success of this community.

If there are in-game things that can be helped or fixed, like Farmer, I would be glad to do any Minecraft stuff.
