Just as an FYI: My schedule will be wonky for a bit due to some major IRL changes! I am moving (twice), starting a couple new jobs, going on a few trips, and starting my PhD all in the next few months. Thank you all for your patience as I navigate these changes! (yes, I not-so-secretly love chaos)
My favorite residence is none other than 12097 on SMP6, which is my original home and has consistently remained in my possession (initially on my older account) as long as I've been around. It's taken several forms throughout the years, but it currently exists as two-thirds of a botanical garden closely resembling the palace garden in the Minecraft construction handbook - at least, on the surface. (The other third is on half of 12098.) Honestly, my favorite thing about it is the glade on the western edge that extends across the road - although I had to use spruce trees instead of junipers, go with the only cacti Minecraft has and use sunflowers instead of coneflowers. I also have a secret underground on 12097 that MoreMoople would almost certainly like, LOL. BTW, good luck Moople! Spring 2026 has been chaotic for me too in both good and bad ways.
Have fun moops, u know how to kidnap other members if u need help moving. I wish u luck on ur phd. I dont explore different residence's that much, so ill just say my own on smp8 my 3th res, bc I built it completely based on a photo and its also based on one of the houses the royals would of lived in, during ancient egypt. So that's the story of that build. There really isnt an interior for it, but there is a massive sugarcane farm under it, that produces 7 shulkers of sugarcane an hour.
Thanks Moops for everything you do despite being ridiculously busy irl! Congrats on that milestone It's seriously impossible to pick a favorite res because there's so many great builds but if I had to pick one, it would be the EMC birthday res on SMP9. Pretty neat that the community came together to make a chaotic yet cool build!
There is a residence on smp7 that is cubefragment's rollercoaster ride. Sadly, he never got to finish the underground part. But the ride is good fun!! Not quite the 23min ride of the longer coaster... (someone remind me where that is? or I should look it up on the Farm Resource list ) I'm sure it's listed somewhere. (and no, he hasn't been heard from in over 2 years we miss him terribly, but hope he is still on a healing journey)
My favorite res is Snazzycarrots on smp5. The one on utopia is close because I spent so much time on it, but the build on smp5 is one of my first and oldest builds
I don't have a favorite per say. Bitemenow15 had an impressive tentacled residence. Raaynn also has some impressive res's as does DrEllis. The one I'm most proud of are the two Utopia res's we dedicated to the Christmas Games and Christmas Drop Party. The games res has a fun boat race track. It's my favorite part of that build. Lastly I'd say that Halloween Town is my favorite part of EMC's events. I wish it was accessible year round and had trading focused events. That's my two cents. Thanks for coming to my TED talk. Lol
