EMC Malls/Shops listed - Ranked Malls - Updated Often!

Discussion in 'Marketplace Discussion' started by Cardman142, May 3, 2017.

  1. Hello :D

I have made this thread because I am tired of looking for good malls I often forget about and don't often have the time to find.

This thread is going to show you most malls/shops on EMC! I'll rank the malls I prefer at top and the ones I don't really like at the bottom (Sell prices/Amount of goods you sell/etc). If you disagree with me on any or would like to add any malls/shops on the list (Malls/Shops have to be open!) contact me ingame or message me on the forums! :D

Does not have all the malls on EMC. I'm server hopping finding malls with the tag +mall! Feel free to pm me to add one!

  2. I'm gonna have to figure out a way to bookmark this thread. Thanks for the info!

  3. Added the shop :)

This thread is mostly for me, so I can remember the shops, however i'm letting everyone see it. I just want to show people the good shops of the smp rather than all of them. I honestly did not know there was another thread, but 2 never hurts.

  4. Ranking shops is a good idea.
    What are your main criteria?
    Let's start "shop oscar" :)
Let's reserve a tag like 'goodshop' or 'shop1' or something, so that only shops which meet distinct criteria can have it.
BTW, thank you for the listing :)
  5. No problem! :D

When I look for good shops for this thread I look for how much the player is selling, if I can sell to them, and how organized. I may be a little bias in this thread, but hey. :p

  6. Definitely a subjective ranking. For example, allengero's mall at 19000 on SMP9 hasn't been changed since before the 1.8 update. It's pretty to look at and there are a lot of items to buy and sell but it's also not current.
  7. Smp7 is going to have a new mall soon. Well In about a few months I guess. I think it's going to be good. :)
  8. I agree - what matters most is if you can actually easily find chests and buy and sell.

The margin also matters, but it is understandable if some products have a higher margin - the shop owners might produce themselves (and have enough in stock) or it is an item where big price fluctuations are expected.

What also matters is if you can see how much space is available in the chests - with some redstone signal and/or preview signs and/or preview flag. It is frustrating when you bring 20 stacks of items to sell and then the chest is full after 8 items.

People also don't want to waste time with shop signs buying and/or selling 1 item. On the other side, if there is a sign for stack-wise buy and/or sell, a second sign with lower quantity is an advantage.

To be able to buy, the shop owner needs either enough rupees or enough currency-like items in stock at a competitive price - like diamonds (and/or diamond ore), emeralds or similar.

Further positive points go to shops who allow bulk-buy and bulk-sell. Producers don't want to waste their time checking every week if a shop needs 2-3 stacks of stone. People who buy materials also don't want to waste time buying just few stacks.

Best shops also allow reselling - those will also have current, competitive pricing for both buying and selling, rather low margin and enough stock.

  9. So one of the criteria is that shop/mall must also buy goods to make this list? Just confirming as I don't want to ask mine to be reviewed as my shop is sales only atm.

Also, I don't know the numbers on smp1 of most but I will have to cross check with my findings. I do suggest giving smp1 /218 a look as I use it quite a bit and have bought and sold there. It is not mine nor do I know the person who runs it.
  10. Agreed :D
  11. Future mall on smp6. No eta yet... hehe
  12. I'll add it when it's done :p /v 12345 right?
  13. It's 12345, 12424, 12344 and 12273
