Not very good at making gifs that don't looks stupid (Except in Garry's Mod but they're supposed to look stupid so I lose that even) and the texts do not like my computer apparently. So I went with what I could figure out best.
Well, I had someone look at this.... and they told me I spelled legitimate wrong. Leh fail. And it won't let me edit. Just lags out. So let's try this again. And my program was stupid so I had to retype everything. Hopefully this one looks better.

Would it be okay if entries come in a day or two after the 25th? I'm not bothered about prizes, but actually making it in the ad if it won before being submitted to the voting site? I'm working on something a little different to most banners, it just might go over the date a tad bit
Mines nice and simple. And I think it conveys the required information. Plus my file system claims it's only 6k. Lets see if this works... EDIT: And of course it doesn't want to work...
Pick an image editing program and learn it thoroughly. I highly suggest photoshop, adobe illustrator, or gimp if you can't pay for the first two. Gimp is free and has a lot of nice features, but it takes some extra work to get the quality that illustrator or photoshop has. Once you have an image editing program that you're comfortable with and know reasonably well, you should have no problem making banners. Just pick one and go ahead and resign yourself to several hours of tutorials and after that, several hours of simply using the image editor. If you're bored after an hour then it might not be for you. My banner is a perfect example of gimp. You can tell it isn't the smoothest, and I plan on doing the same banner all over again from scratch, this time more carefully. I won't have time to submit the new one for the contest, so the current one will simply have to do. o_o But I used Gimp and the text effects have nothing on what illustrator has. o_o
Feel free to submit anytime past deadline. I'm giving until end of today, maybe tommorrow. I will be using banners even if they aren’t submitted in time or win if I think they have potential to perform well.
One thing I totally forgot to ask... If you can also try to put a part in the banner that stands out that says "play.emc.gs" for the address. Sort of a new thing I just recently started aiming for ... but if anyones making new please use that. My aim is to get benefits of people to connect w/o even clicking (which is what costs us)
