So... I had the perfect little xp-grinding/mining base. It was built around a skeleton spawner that I was so lucky to find. This morning before I left for class I was out there and I set up a nether portal that had quartz on the other side (it's far, to say the least). I logged in this evening to go mining for some more quartz and as soon as I stepped into my cave I saw that the entire place is full of lava. It is completely surrounding the nether portal I had built. I set down dirt blocks to cover it and try to get to my storage chests but they were gone. My enchanting room was destroyed too. I went into my skeleton spawner area and even though there was no lava in there, the spawning block was gone. That makes no sense to me. Then I accidentally mined through a block that was holding back lava and I died, losing everything I was carrying including quartz, my silk touch pick-axe, and the circle stone that I had found in temples on my way to the cave.So all in all a pretty major loss. I have seen zombie pig men get through portals but I have never heard of lava getting through, and that doesn't explain why the skeleton spawner is gone as well. Any idea what could have happened?I don't mean to whine, I'm just trying really hard not to be disappointed and I am really confused by this.
