Uhm... so why was he denied? (uh oh, here I go again)...

See, this isn't helping. "Denied" for what? The OP has no way to improve on this because he has no clue what he did wrong. I also don't like this because you're not being consistent here Baradar (the main reason I respond here even though I was certainly not planning on to)....

This claim got denied too yet with a nice explanation and more so: it got closed. Yah.. While I was writing a long comment to the OP trying to help him improve. Wham! no longer possible. (shared in PM).

And here we are... Denied for no specific reason, and I can still complain...

Guys, please, be consistent when you apply the rules!!

The #1 complaint I hear (and experienced myself) is that staff is not consistent with all this. One member silences for 2 hours, the other for 5 hours (for the same violation). And here is another obviously clear example.

Here is what I was going to post elsewhere:

I pm'd him immediately. This means any further discussion can be maintained without giving away coordinates. As he found me ingame we then spent 30 minutes going over it.

There was no need to put anything here, it has nothing to do with Shel or anyone else.

This could have been avoided if he had used the /map. It took me 5 minutes to find the 2 outposts that stopped his claim.

You (staff) are the guys making the whole thing public in the first place. Also: understand the issue here. Just because the player involved understands everything doesn't mean all the readers do. That can create a lot of bad impressions while in fact they're wrong.

Seriously... think these things through. A random player who comes over this sees the claim and "denied". For what? I'm the nut who speaks up, other players will just go on their way getting weird ideas about this whole thing. That's the part you guys ignore with all this.

You may understand the reason why this is denied, doesn't mean the rest of us players do. Think for a moment about public opinion.

And of course there's the issue of SnazzyCarrot's thread getting closed. Did you discuss that with him too?

I'm not out here to criticize you guys, I want fair play. Why can I still comment here and not give Snazzy some good tips on his denied claims?

No, it does not concern me. But I really dislike signs of favoritism and/or inconsistencies in applying the rules.
