  1. I'm not going to argue with your first statement because you aren't open to listen to other perspectives. Secondly, people are going to die. It's just a matter of whether the U.S. Military is killing people or ISIS. There will be war casualties.
  2. What are you talking about when it comes to Vietnam. It was Johnson, a democrat, that escalated Vietnam and sent over hundreds of thousands of troops. It was Nixon, a republican, that pulled us out and let the north take the south. But really every problem is because of the democrats, isn't it?

Not sure what your second statement means. If you are trying to say that many scientists don't think we can stop the catastrophe that is coming, you are correct. But they all agree that a catastophe is coming.

And as far as ISIS. It is horrible. There is horrible stuff going on many places in the world. I wish we could stop it all. But we can't. And we tend to make things worse in the end. Think about it. ISIS would not be doing what they are doing in Iraq if you we hadn't destabilized that country. And we destabilized it because of Cheney and a bunch of lies about weapons of mass destruction. Our invasion of Iraq has caused an unbelievable amount of suffering and for nothing. We can't make others in the world subscribe to our way of thinking. But we can stop causing so much suffering with our big military that we think we have to use. I have a 9 year old son and I am sick of seeing pictures of 9 year old boys bodies broken and bloody lying on the ground because my country that I love so much decided they had to drop bombs on them.
  3. 40k (which is the highest they make in some states its 23k) is very low for a college graduate to be making. they dont get anymore benefits then a mcdonalds employee can receive and most of the things you are calling benefits are also known as human rights. teachers also work well beyond 40 hours per week, with special education teachers logging as much as 90 hours weekly on grading things, setting up modules, or going to classes to help them teach. that means on average if they put in 75 hours a week they are working twice what the normal minimum wage worker is allowed to at full time

    maybe you understand simple math:
minimum wage worker works 52 weeks a year for 40 hours each week = 2080 hours per year
teacher works 40 weeks a year for 75 hours each week = 3000 hours per year

so yeah they only work 200 days a year, but they are putting in more hours then someone working around the clock and making close to the same wage that someone that didnt need a degree is yearly.

but again you will probably say something along the lines of "that math is lying" because people like you are indoctrinated and cannot fathom the truth
  4. Republicans vs Demcrats= My left hand blaming my right hand for stealing... This is a bit of a problem. You are all saying the same thing: These buzzwords tick me off so I'm going to vote for the people that annoy me less and in the end I have no idea what is actually beneficial to me because I have no bearing or care on reality. Reality: homeless rates in the richest country in the world? Socialism branded as capitalism which is really corporate rule doesn't work... well it does but it doesn't work for you. The US isn't socialist and it isn't capitalist it's corporatist. These talking heads have no idea what they are talking about and just parrot what their party does. It doesn't even matter what they say because they all do the exact same thing: take bribes and pass regulation. Oh you thought that was legislation, yeah about that. The law in the US can't be changed as the current state of affairs are because there is no legitimate sovereign government. They can only pass regulations, statutes and codes which are all corporate law, merchant law, the law of kings, maritime law, the law of money. Call it whatever you want, money rules it all. When we can realize that our neighbors are are starving, have no place to sleep and are being murdered for nothing more than the control of money perpetuated my an illusion of scarcity then perhaps this world will change. Until then, continue with the socialists vs fascists vs corporatist vs communists whatever because it really doesn't matter.

  5. Dude, you are misinformed. Congress does not have the ability to stop a war, other than cutting military spending which did not happen. Nixon was elected on a platform that he would get us out of the war. The country was sick of it particularly after the shootings at Kent State. Get your facts right. It was a war that could not be won and the public knew it.

Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, nothing. There was no lives saved from terrorism from invading Iraq. And as far as Obama taking out our troops and causing ISIS, the point was that if we didn't invade in the first place it wouldn't have been destabilized. Obama was right to pull the troops out we had been there for over a decade. That was over twice as long as the civil war, over twice as long as our involvement in WWII, and over the time in Vietnam. How long should we have been there, a hundred years? A lot more innocent people died because we did go in. "Use our army for a noble cause", what a perfect thing to say for a warmonger. We decide what noble is right? We should invade Iran, North Korea, and what else? You don't have to worry about going to war do you? And you have no sons that will die for your noble cause either do you?

For all the young people reading this thread, this is a perfect example of a republican. "There is no climate change. Give all to big corporations and the rich and cut education to do it. And wage war on everyone that isn't exactly like us." Thank goodness that a republican has no chance of winning and that you can take to the bank.

  6. see but the table you are talking about is misleading. sure hourly that is more then minimum wage, teachers arent paid hourly however so the comparison makes no sense

  7. My only contribution I feel like giving right now is that anyone who holds "flip flopping" against a candidate is being too harsh in most circumstances. Notice I said "most" because if you flip flop week to week then that's more of an issue. But when you grow, learn and experience new things then you are likely to find yourself "flip flopping" on issues. I don't feel the same way about some things as I did 5 or 10 years ago, so I'd be a "flip flopper" in some people's books and thus not good enough to stand for office.

For example, a candidate running for President who hasn't previously held a government office or maybe held a government office but wasn't privy to 100% of the info may have an opinion on an issue and then later once they are President and given more information they change their mind. I'm not going to hold that against the person.
  8. I logged on just to give this a thumbs up!! :p What a great video. lol

  11. Ok, I see now I'm arguing with someone I have no business arguing with. I'm a CPA, have a MBA and a MAcc. I will not debate any more points but I do want to say that when it comes to social security and medicare I better get it when I turn of age because the government has been deducting this out of my check for as long as I have been working. That is something you have to remember when it comes to social security and medicare, taxpayers have paid in specifically for that. It is not a tax. It is put into a fund to support me in my old age. Defense is the largest discretionary use of tax money. Social security and medicare is paid in for that purpose specifically. And although you are quite young someday you will understand that this cannot be cut. It would be like someone putting money into a bank account and then not being able to get it out.
  12. cutting taxes does not reduce debt thats a stupid statement
abortion has never been illegal in america since the process was even thought of so that too is a stupid statement (and by this i mean federally not stateside)
you dont gain personhood status until you are 18 in america so fetuses and embryos definately are not people dying according to american law.
the case church amendment was drawn up after there were not anymore ground troops deployed TROOPS left in 1972 the amendment was a year later. so theres another stupid statement
the terrorists we killed in iraq had nothing to do with 9-11 and for the most part didnt really give a crap about america because they were busy warring other tribes in the region.
THERE IS NO EVIDENCE THAT CLIMATE CHANGE IS NOT REAL THE ONLY EVIDENCE IS HARD FACTS THAT THERE HAS BEEN A PARADIGM SHIFT IN THE GLOBAL TEMPERATURE. anything else states by scientists is speculation and conjecture and thus everything you just said is not fact.
military spending takes up 55.2 percent of the ENTIRE US BUDGET that is a fact the government publishes spending each fiscal year so no those programs arent even close to half the budget. again you are wrong
and no republicans do not and have not voted to lower taxes on the middle class for the past 50 years i can provide each republicans voting record that will undeniably prove this if you really want.

all in all you have no idea what you are talking about, please google each statement you made and use reputable sources. foxnews.com is not one of them. then maybe when you come back a little smarter you can be taken seriously in a thread like this otherwise again and finally you look like an idiot
