   So just now right before school I went to try and gather some clay. I went to a Mesa and setup a haste I beacon to go along with my eff IV unb III pickaxe. Oddly, when I turned on my beacon, there was no change. I was mining clay really slowly and I tried without the beacon and it was the same speed. Anyone know why the beacon isn't making a difference? Or am I doing something wrong..

   you're doing it wrong, lol. it's efficiency V with haste I or haste II your preference.
