can animals such as sheep de-spawn? as i feel like my sheep are. i have a free shearing farm on smp3 and i recently had 3 stacks of sheep added, no one has flags(apart from use to sheer), and they seem to have decreased in number? what's happening? :S
Animals are really glitchy in minecraft, they sometimes push each other into walls, killing each other.
It is quite possible they are dying from suffocation when they are pushed into walls by other animals, or glitching through walls and escaping. They may be dropping wool when they die, but it may be despawning before you even see it. I always give them plenty of room if i am able and not crowd them, i also double/triple thick the walls to try to prevent glitching through them.
