  1. I'm sorry to rain on your parade, but I'm closing this auction.
It probably was fun while it lasted, but now it ends here.

A line has been crossed. An auction that needs over 10,000 bids/posts to reach a reasonable amount is not what auctions were meant for, ever.
Therefor, staff has decided to disallow any kind of 'max-bid increments' in auctions from now on.

Biscuitboy, you can decide to start a new auction without the max-bid increment.
Your auction will then be treated as any other auction.

  2. I'll post the final version of the list either in this auction, the new auction, or just PM it to biscuitboy and have him decide what to do with it

  3. Please see the new auction rules regarding this. We didn't want to shut this down, but it got out of hand.

Btw, the leading post was only 600r. Just because YOU want a post to be treated differently, it doesn't change the auction guidelines and staff cannot ignore it. That, along with the fact that this turned into a ninja post fest, drove the nail into the coffin for maximum bid increments.

  4. Not to mention this was likely upsetting email providers from all of the alerts...
