Right, but if you're not really AFK or idle there shouldn't be an issue with you riding a minecart around your grinder smacking mobs upside the head. It's the same as you walking around a little to let the system know you're not idle. On the other hand, allowing people to use Minecarts with their grinders will grant people the opportunity to use this exploit and go AFK for long periods of time. Maybe the use of Minecarts should not reset the idle kick timer. I think it's one of those issues that will have many valid arguments for both sides. Who knows how this will go.
Agreed, on everything just said. I stumbled across someone using this for at least 4 hours straight on Utopia (I say at least, because 3am on the East Coast is definitely my bed time.) This would not be possible on the other servers or single player... Lack of food would starve a player to death. Naturally, I went about my own business, but would pop back in every hour or so to see the same thing, hundreds upon hundreds of mobs. In all fairness, the idle should not rely on space as a factor - but keystrokes. If a player isn't hitting a key, they aren't playing. The only way to circumvent it would be to hold the same key continually, which would be easily detectable.
I'm talking about the whole mob farming thing in general.The only games I idle on are mmos while crafting which makes me unable to do other stuff.
I would have supported this before TEXP, but now, I don't really like the idea of people racking up mobs while they sleep for an instant splash potion kill when they wake up.

Its a dual grinder. 3 spider spawners into 1 pool, mob drop tower into another pool. http://aikar.co/dropbox/mc/grinder The cart is required to put your self in proximity to each of the spawner locations (to make them spawn), which is why I said just cause they use a cart, doesn't mean they use it to defeat AFK.
What part of the world are you from if you don't mind me asking? I notices your enchantment titles are a little different.
US, the /iteminfo command doesn't show the same thing as the hover over. I didn't want to take multiple screenshots lol.
I've never played with a looting pick -- are they totally awesome or what? At what level were they enchanted, do you know?
