Hello everyone! I recently decided to share my collection of old screenshots from the "good ol' days" of EMC. I'll separate each one into separate spoilers to stop excessive scrolling. Please ignore my old ugly skin and mods. Have fun reliving the time of us EMC Boomers. These screenshots were taken during the "Economy Destroying Drop Party on March 2, 2013. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here we see Icecreamcow being kicked by a green Chickeneer. I don't remember the context of it, but maybe he can let us in on it sometime ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here we see players scrambling for what little drops from the powerful hands of Aikar flying above. ** FUN FACT: some of the first vault vouchers were dropped at this party ** ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The player's view of the master dropper, Aikar This was taken on May 4, 2013. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Back before we had the auto-claim and force claim features we used to have to actually message a senior staff to come and manually reset the residences. Here is shaunwhite1982 resetting a residence for me. This was taken on May 14, 2013. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here we see a rare sight indeed. At the time IcecreamCow, Maxarias, and Aikar were the only "admins" of the server. To see them all in one place was unheard of! Also a green chickeneer! This was taken on December 8, 2013. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Maxarias had a tendency to whenever she did log in, she would terrorize the town spawn of that server by spawning bosses, throwing potions, or setting people on fire. Sadly I can't find the screenshots of Momentus invading town, but here is Maxarias throwing speed potions on us. This was taken on January 8, 2014. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here we are, at the very first Creature Capture event ran by IcecreamCow. I still have a cow in my vault to this day from this event since it was the best event I ever attended in the history of my time on EMC. These screenshots were taken on January 18, 2014. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here we see a minty krysyyjane9191 (now Krysyy) and GameKribJim getting ready for the Red Dragon Party. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here we see ignoramoose giving us his best regards before the fire of the red dragon consumed us all. This was taken on April 13, 2014. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here we see a recently promoted to "admin" krysyyjane9191 getting ready at the EMC Games arena! This was taken on April 19, 2014. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here we are at the view all of us old players first saw when we logged into EMC. This is the entrance to the very first tutorial. It was a lot harder than it seems trust me... This was taken on April 19, 2014. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here I am stalking behind a staff member, whose name is alluding me at this time, at the first Fire Floor. In the background you can see Aikar and what I believe to be Samsimx if I remember correctly. This was taken on June 7, 2014. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not sure exactly what was going on, but I saw them all (forgot to screenshot it sadly) them all standing in Empire Palace. You never see that many staff of different caliber in one place. This was taken on September 13, 2014. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm unsure what event this was, but you can still die in town apparently. krysyyjane9191 knew this, but it was no "cakewalk" This was taken on May 16, 2015. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eternia isn't exactly something you can't experience anymore, it's still out in the wilds of SMP7 to this day. However even the name/knowledge of its existence is only known by the older players nowadays. I ventured out there a few times in my time on EMC. I would highly recommend a voyage to it, if you know where it is This was taken on August 26, 2015. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Again, I am unsure the context of this one. However this is an example of staff kicking staff for the fun of it or for the rank changing purposes. BreezyMan was the victim of Aikar's wrath this time around. This was taken on October 31, 2015. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Krysyy was getting in the spooky mood when she summoned "Krysyy" the Ender Dragon into the "pumpkin" residence that I believe was on SMP2. It did scare the residents a bit, but it was all in good fun B) These were taken on December 31, 2015. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here we see the "Great Slime Invasion" on Utopia. This behemoth was summoned to leap us into the new year. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The sun sets on Utopia town, an event that never happens since Utopia is eternally daytime. A rare sight indeed. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As Utopia town was cloaked in darkness, the final countdown to the new year of 2016 began. What a way to start of the year...
This was taken on May 5, 2018. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This one isn't near as old, but still worth sharing. SliceOfRhyBread here was beating us all at Slvr's trivia. He simply typed too fast for us to even compete. So RainbowChin put a local ban on all Rhys. MORE TO COME ONCE I FIND MORE

I only made it to 2 of the first mob boss spam events. Would love to see another one happen! Its one of the few times I can die and not be able to retrieve my gear which is what I like about it (its a challenge to survive and not lose your gear!). Especially since I haven't fought any of the survival v2 bosses yet on account of having spawns disabled because I had a Marlix bug me while building a farm lol and that is the only project I am working on in the wild (soon to change when we update! ).

Cool post! Also remarkable: only one person who was not a supporter at the time. Also note the disguised players! At least I assume that's what's going on. That's cool, I'd never seen it!
