A Shell shocker?

On a random residence located on a random server within the wonderful world of Empire Minecraft...

"So what do u suggest we do then?", a female voice sounded. "I dunno... but I think we can do better than what we have now. I mean... let's be honest: the most news we get today is basically a list of events but that's about it. No background stories, nothing extra. Which could be fun.. Or so I think", a male voice answered.

"And a whole lot of extra work too", another voice replied: "it's always easy to talk from the sideline <name retracted by editor>, but you know quite well that it would be impossible for them to keep up with what you're now suggesting". "But that's why <name retracted by editor> suggests that we start something, right?", the female voice responded.

"Look, it doesn't have to be something posted or shared every day. If you create over exposure you also risk players getting quickly bored with you because it will always be the same thing. So I suggest that we take our due time, but not too long. Maybe start once every month or two weeks at most", the main male voice said. "But how do u want 2 do all that?", the female voice asked: "there's only 3 of us story-wise so basically 2 and im not very good at writing", she said. "It doesn't always have to be about writing though... How about some sporadic interviews for example? You could be a part time reporter for example". A laughing voice is heard: "Just be sure not to mess up your notes in such a way that even you can't read them, ha ha ha!". "Thats rude!", the female voice snapped.

"Now, come on here guys... let's not argue". "That could make an awesome opening story though ".

For a moment everyone kept silent. When all of a sudden some thunder could be heard outside. "See, that's what I'm talking about!", the male voice suddenly said: "how many times do you get to hear about any ad-hoc events? A staffer just goofing around and having a good time". "Well, my friends usually tell me", a female voice responded. "Sure, but outside that scope? I think you could create a lot of goodwill by sharing stories like those".

The three persons nodded in agreement. "But there's one major plothole with that idea though <name retracted by editor>: you can't possibly be present at every possible event held on every possible server on the Empire". "Correspondents", the male voice replied. "Correwhat?".

"Correspondents... Look.. What is Minecraft often all about? Playing make belief and mimicking the real world. We can do that too. Why not, for example, ask the community for such stories. Maybe even pay a small amount of rupees for anything good and a little more when we actually public something. Get the players to help us by helping themselves by helping the paper by helping the community". "Now i got a headache, lol!".

"Seriously though... How to motivate some players? With prizes or small rewards. So why not do just that?".

"But how many players would be interested in this?".

"Who knows? Who cares? I think we should simply start *doing* something one step at a time. For example... post some kind of a teaser story which could confuse the heck out of players while also giving them plenty of teasers which somewhat reveal our plans.". "And how are you going to do that?". "We could have <name retracted by editor> write up some kind of a story ^.^". "Naah, too obvious. It needs to be something a bit more. Maybe add a wee bit of drama into it, but not too much to go toxic?".

"I like ur thinking so far. say, how about that cool resourcepack which <name retracted by editor> has been sharing for some time? I really like that, u could make that a story 4 the project"."hmm...".

"Anyway, sorry to bother you guys but this is all I have time for. Shall we meet again next week to discuss the final details?". The people present once again nodded in agreement. "Oh, by the way <name retracted by editor>; would you mind too much if I recorded our meetings from now? I think that in itself could also be something interesting". "No, let's not go there. I'll decide what to publish and what not for now.". "Oh, ok.... shame..."

<some white noise is heard soon followed by an abrupt click and then silence>

I would hereby like to request Emperial asylum, is that even possible for an alt? Wait, never mind. I'll just ask a staff member instead

I'm confused on a moderate level, intrigued on a higher level, and wondering why Shell is posting as 2 different people.
