So you advice build a "base" near your spawn point and leave your stuff there because we die a lot?

well you can change your spawn point with a sleeping bag, and only items in your hotbar are dropped on death you'll keep everything in your pocket, and yes you will die alot so a base with a spawn inside is required to live during the nights

What is the easiest biome to live in for a beginner?

doesn't really matter but in the forest near the biggest city towards the lake is my favorite spot (guns, water, food, and lots of trees)
