  4. Well, this is an easy problem for me lol. Im doing advanced thermodynamics atm :p

    Ok here's the solution:

(Assuming your question is asked in degrees Celsius)

We cannot complete the problem in degrees Celsius so we have to change into another suitable scale. There are many we can use (Centigrade, Fahrenheit or Kelvin). I will be using the Kelvin (K) scale. The conversion from degrees Celsius to Kelvin is simple: 0 degrees C = 273.15 K.

    As an example conversion 10 degrees C = 10 + 273.15 = 283.15 Kelvin

Back to the problem: if the temperature is twice as cold it means its half of 273.15 K = 136.57K (As saying it will be twice as cold is like saying it will be half as warm)

Then to get back to degrees C you just subtract 273.15 from it:

    136.57 - 273.15 = -136.58 degrees Celsius. (Very very cold :p)

If your question was instead asked in another scale, well then there are other conversions that could be used but you would still end up with the same answer in degrees Celsius.

    :D

An important note: 0 K is termed absolute zero, you cannot get any colder than that. 0 K = -275.15 degrees Celsius
