It says on the wiki that noprotect mode doesn't work in the waste....I didn't test it....so does it work in the waste or not?

This post is about the WASTE, not the frontier. Frontier you can toggle on/off buildmode and use noprotect mode but in the waste those commands...
Just FYI, anything not in the list below is auto-protected in the waste. That now includes logs, leaf blocks, flowers, all crops, bamboo, sugar...

Furnaces in waste spawn points currently unusable - don't have container:furnace permission.
