I'm really tired this Piwi Day, because I had a general meeting from my student's association last night, where I stayed until 00:20, before traveling home. I wore Piwi in my breast pocket. :D It was a historical meeting, as we voted on changes to the articles of association!

I'm prepared for Piwi Day 2023! I messed up the itsalmo.st, though, putting it an hour early. Now I'm not sure what to do. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Anyway, the giveaway opens on May 26th, 5 AM EMC time!

For a year now, I've been making a new desktop wallpaper every week. Every day, one is picked at random, so by now the probability of any single background being picked is less than 2%! What is annoying is that Windows often caches them, making them blurry.

The content is a verse from the Bible, from different translations and even different languages, and I make some sort of gradient behind it.
It makes for a lot of variety, and I look forward to making a new one every week!

Accidentally planned my bicycle trip during the first proper spring storm of the year. Well, that's an experience. :)

It's a rite of passage for the running and cycling culture. I thought it would arrive yesterday cause I was crazy enough to go run with rain nearby but the rain never showed.

        @Elfin: I turned 24.

Macron, the president of France, and King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, visited my university today. It was quite an experience seeing so many policemen and officials there!

It turned out there was a reason why there was so much police: in the morning two guys had attempted to assault Macron.

It must have been so cool to see both of them in person! France and the Netherlands have done so much to improve the lives of their citizens with urbanization and pedestrianization. Here in the U.S, everything is designed for cars and not people. :(

I didn't see them in person, we had to stay inside the lecture room because of the extra safety measures.

I attended a performance of Rachmaninoff's 2nd Symphony yesterday, with people from my study association. It was amazing!! Other people seem to have enjoyed it too, both those into classical music and those not. I am glad it was a success, as I initiated this activity. :)

My study association's play was great again! :D I was not part of the cast this year, but I did go to all performances. ^.^ There were also some musical parts in the piece, which I loved!

With the help of an uncle, I organised a party for my grandfather's 80th birthday anniversary, featuring an open mic for our family. It was a big project, but I'm glad I persevered, as it was a success! We had a great time, and my grandfather enjoyed it thoroughly. :)

I bet. Us whippersnappers are blessings for elderly people. It’s not a common thing anymore, seeing youngsters trying hard to make such an effort for their grandparents birthday especially! Given the generation these days, I would imagine to him that it meant the world to receive such a special gift. Remember that!

On the final day of my project, I left home at 7:45 and returned at 23:15. I don't think I've ever studied so much in a single day. :P But we got it done to a state of satisfaction. :)

When you do a project with others, it is important to work together, at the same time, at least online, preferably in person. We keep failing that. It's painful.

When you function together as a team, it’s like gears in a clock. The machine works as it should and everyone is productive towards the same goal. It’s always been more than that with me though. I strive for the good times. The things that keep progress steady and memories growing. I miss EMC so much in this way!!! I’m missing out

I spent a weekend away (at one of us' homes) with my kring (small group from my student's association that meets weekly for dinner and Bible study), and it was amazing. ^.^ Not everything was perfect, and I had looked up to some things, but I had a thoroughly good time. <3

Ah, I see. I don't think I talked about that, though. The US does have student's associations, I'd assume. Those aren't really third places in that sense of the word though, I think (I have not watched the video).

It was a great venue, actually! Quite easy to get to by public transit, too.
There were no ships or other people (except security) there, by the way. Which is unsurprising I guess, considering that it's winter.
