  So uh, yesterday my Nvidia GTX 1070 died on me. I’m looking at replacements and trying to get some clarity on what I want to get. Opinions anyone? Recommendations? Considering going back with RTX 2070 Super.

    Yeah, but it’s okay. I can get by with my laptop. Thanks Martian, I will look at it.
    And no, I don’t usually follow trends and jump from title to title. I normally find games and stick with them for years.

    Well as it turns out, due to the infamous chip shortage most of the gpus from the last 3 years are in much smaller portions than I realized. I knew they were cut back, but I wouldn’t have thought that it would be so difficult to find an unused video card. I’ve only seen 1 from the RTX 20 series, but it was the price as my whole setup. Screw that! 😳 This doesn’t look good my friends.

    ahh i see
    the reasons why those card are obsolte quicker because PR (aka media) and the nvidia like to bring their rtx tech into 4k screen as example while most of us dont really care (they only need FHD aka 1080p)

  I have mobile hotspot to mess with. Temporary of course. I’ve tested it for 3 days and my server connection was surprisingly smoother compared to Wi-Fi. I’ll give it a chance for the remainder of the month to see how it fares. Let’s see how it goes :D

  The loss of life in Turkey right now is incredibly upsetting to see. God be with them. There’s a lot of people hurt there who just need a helping hand and a shoulder to lean on! 😔

  Signal still pretty weak, but just wanted to check in.Our county got hit by tornadoes yesterday evening just before dark.No idea what we’re going to be waking up to this morning.😔Does anyone know if MrSocks75 is ok? I don’t know if it reached the Atlanta area.Be safe out there!

    We had a similarly terrible tornado where I live in March 2020. My house was fine, but many others' in the Nashville and Cookeville areas weren't, and the roads were still facing reduced speed limits in places for months.

    I'll admit, I've sometimes wondered what it'd be like to race on the Bonneville Salt Flats. But then again, my state does have some pretty popular race tracks too, albeit more distance-limited.

    Yeah! It’s been a dream of mine to get into racing. Certainly not for glory and fortune, but just for the thrill of it. I love to get out off-road and just kick it and chill!
    To be on a track though… would be an incredible privilege!

    Thanks, yeah I’m sure it’ll most likely be every bit into December when it’s ready at the earliest. I got to see the roadmap for how it’s being planned out, so I have an idea of how likely it will be done by then. I’m gonna be missing the place, but when I get back things will be different!     I’m unsure which is best for me. I’ve grown so attached to the handling of dirt bikes, but it’s a whole new thing for me out on the road. Everything changes. Stuck looking between Honda Shadow Aero, Kawasaki Vulcan Classic, and the Kawasaki Supermoto, which is most similar to the style and feel of my dirt bike. I reckon I need to go check them out in person and see what feels most suitable. 👍
