(I know I know) Let's be honest, a Muslim community doesn't fit particularly well in a city called Christchurch... :P

Ironic yes, but to be fair there are only around 1,000-3,000 Muslims in Christchurch, a city of 400,000 people.

Holy crap that is nothing.... In the Netherlands (I just looked it up, had no clue) it's ±5-6%...

I know right? And this mad... whatever, decided that for some reason they're on the verge of 'taking over' New Zealand despite making up 1% of the country. He even had his own manifesto where he supported Brexit as a method of white people 'taking back control' blahblahblah. But he's 'not a Nazi' because 'Nazis were defeated in WW2'.

And he said that dreaded word, PewDiePie, so now an innocent man is getting heat and blame from a mass shooting he has zero part in.

He also said he was a trump supporter. In my opinion, he doesn't support any of these, he's literally trying to ruin society before he spends the rest of his life in Prison, he's going to ruin a pewdiepie's life, make everyone hate trump even more (even though trump didn't do anything and didn't insignate the attack)

He supports them, make no mistake about that. You can support Brexit and you can support Donald Trump for whatever reason. The problem is that the right wing has an epidemic of these people (Islamic terrorism is also right-wing). This an extremist and he's trying to create more extremists.

It's just a way to make everyone hate eachother, and make the image of trump supporters as school shooters and racists increase. PEwdiepie is going to experience a shit storm too.

(And I say that as someone who is not the hugest fan of Trump.) Any person will have opinions (or lack thereof) about things. [hypothetical example: You may dislike a certain terrorist or bad person, but if they like dogs, that does not mean that dogs should get a bad name for being liked by a random person.]

I never understood the big connection to PewDiePie with this event... I guess it shows the alarming lack of thinking by many people regarding things they see in the media.

So there's no reason to talk about it? Frankly, I don't think "Prayers and condolences" do much for the situation.

I'll give you 'make everyone hate eachother'. I would not designate a millionaire who the internet already knows is not complicit in this mess as a victim. That part, as noted by the article I linked, is a distraction for the mainstream media to focus on, get some money-making headlines, and detract from the real issue here.

If right-wingers want to stop looking like lunatics and racists they should stop using hateful rhetoric and advocating for violent methods to 'own the libs'. As I said, this issue is a pandemic within their ranks.

Want to do something other than prayers and condolences and not look like a racist or school shooter? Don't support racists and fascists, be sensible, and don't propagate the culture that allows these people to recruit people to their cause. It's simple.

I never supported them, I was mentioning that the shooter's manifesto was full of trolling to cause hail storm within the media. Also, that link you showed had nothing to do with trump

It was full of trolling so the media attacks internet culture, thus pushing people who like internet culture further right. That link I showed has nothing to do with Trump because this whole thing is an extremist cultural issue, not a bat crazy president, he's just a symptom of the problem.

he literally said that he condemned all forms of racism though, or must some misunderstanding with language really be what he meant?

    He probably did.

His actions speak louder than words though.
