It would depend. I believe you were required to sign up for the forums a long time ago (or so I've heard), but now you aren't required to. My join date on EMC is different from my forum join date.

I joined EMC on December 28, 2014, but didn't register for the forums until January 15, 2015.

Wither: I thought that too, but the account I joined with back in 2011 joined the forums about a month later... (a pre-5000 members forum account :D)

You were. It was dropped in, I think, mid-2014. All I know for sure on it is that it was after 607 joined.

But I answered the first tutorial question January 9th, and I think you've only truly joined the Minecraft server once you've done the tutorial. ;)

Perhaps you couldn't make a forum account without having logged in in-game?
Because I'm sure I didn't play right away, which gets confirmed by completing the first tutorial question 4 days later.

Nah. You couldn't log in in-game unless you had a forum account.

@soul: really? (not that I know it either, but) how can it be possible that my old account logged in ingame 31 days earlier than that forum account? :P

Maybe you signed up here after the forced forum sign up was implemented? All I know is I got frustrated I had to sign up on the forums before being able to log in when I joined :P

I joined the ingames on 26 November 2011, but the forums only on 28 December 2011... which also confuses me, as I also feel like I remember something similar...
