GH5 with a 12-35mm f-stop 2.8 lens with OIS and yes ik its a LOT of money but its the start of my career as i have always wanted to be a film maker/videographer
I was looking at that camera then I saw 2 grand and I was like nopeeeee, but the uni I want to go to should have Arri Alexa's and other cameras like the canon c300
yeah thats calm, I'm not really sure where im going rn but im planning to shoot a documentary this summer holiday and make a few films to use as proof of my work to send to film schools or Uni's with a film department in them for if my UCAS points dont meet expectations, also i will be set with a DOPE camera for atleast the next 5 years as it shoots 4k 60fps and can do 4k 10 bit which is beautiful imo
lool, im about to leave to go to jessops rn to see if i can haggle a deal with the GH5 and lens together as they do deals with other lenses just not the one i would like
My f2.8 will hopefully look good, if i go with a metabones route where i use a different make's lens, it will lower the f stop by 1 but i think i should be happy with 2.8 for the moment. Once i get more money ill start building up my rig with a cage or shoulder mount, get a zhiyun crane gimbal and ofcourse more different types of lenses suitewd for other things but i hate how everything costs like £600
Yeah, speed boosters are nice for other lens's, I have heard that the crane is also pretty good, I have a gorilla pod which is decent as you can fold it up for a steady cam (Which is pretty freaking steady), with a ball mount makes it awesome, I recommend them it costs like £50-£60 with ball mount so not too bad,
Yeah, gorilla pods are a must, i haven't thought of using it for a steady cam but more of a tripod where i can attach it to tree branches or anywhere i want but yeah great idea tbf
When I get my camera I am going to make a thread and we can discuss more there in depth :P, but the stabilisation on the g80/g85 is amazing, handheld looks like it was being used on a crane on some shots
Yeah shout, also just went and had a talk, jessops have the lens and camera however they only had the camera and kit lens in stock so i would have to order the GH5 body off them which theres over 50 orders already so i will have to wiat like a month lol so now im looking towards buying the stuff from UK camera store
Yhh, legit hardly anything i can find which is bad about the GH5 apart from the auto focus which i hardly use and you could say low light shooting is bad however thats because people compare it to sony a7R II or a6500 which are amazing at lowlight so idek if the GH5 is bad at it or just bad compared to some cameras which are god at low light atc
Yeah I fully see your point and I think it is going to be a great investment for you. (Sidenote- if you lose it or break it, I will cry for you, please be careful with it XP )
yh i wont be dumb enough to break it i don't think but with losing it.. bunch of scrotes near where i live and if anyone of them wanna steal it i won't be scared to stand up for 2.5G's xd Hopefully they don't have a knife on them though pahah

loool i feel u, i also watch bare vids of things im about to get like i watched every video EVER created about the aiwa exos 9 speaker because i was so hyped and sheesh its such a good speaker lol, ive seen probably over 24 hours worth of vids for the GH5 now from the past month too
