I changed my password, forgot it, and can't get in minecraft

Ah... did you delete your e-mail account, then?

If you use an e-mail with your current account then you should be able to request a password change through the use of that email on the Mojang site. Here's a handy page: https://help.mojang.com/customer/en/portal/articles/329527-minecraft-log-in

Sadly it won't send me an email for it and I don't know what else to do at this point

It will send you an email, just go through the info on that link. It will send an email to the email associated with your Minecraft account.

The password is changed to what I can remember, but I think it's the email that's troubling me the most now

As long as you've changed the email to what you now know, then that should fix it! What error(s) are you getting now?
