Yea and just had to go to his res. It was obvious duping was going on and him saying "I'm going to bring down the Diamond market to 20r a piece soon" didn't give it away or anything.

I had to post this, I had to admit my mistake to all of EMC, I had to alert people who didn't already know It's ok JTC, I love EMC too much so I'll still be very active on the forums, and who knows maybe someday I will get unbanned
It may take a long time to get unbanned. It might not even happen... Duplicating is a serious thing. You learned your lesson my friend.. I hope you remember me too
How is it at all an honest mistake? He clearly knew he was breaking the rules but he went ahead anyway (I know he knows this because he had to go through the tutorial in the Empire Tut). But I now know what mistake I should never do
That really doesnt matter. If someone steals 20 cars, then gets caught, and says "I stole 20 cars, and it was wrong!", how does that change how serious the situation or punishment should be? He apologized, big deal. He shouldnt be unbanned or even considered being unbanned just because he did a common courtesy.
As I said, somebody already did this. He didn't PM a mod, he made a thread about his mistakes, and it worked as a way to get unbanned - and then he did that to cause even more trouble with RobHatesCake and GrumpyShopper.
EMC Staff has a very forgiving nature for most offenses. We are encouraged to carry a spirit of amnesty. That being said, after checking our logs in Square, I can say definitively that the OP has committed other offenses besides cheating/hacking. That being said, cheating/hacking are among the worst offenses in the Empire. We've unbanned people who did a lot of bad things. Some of them after many, many months. Generally speaking, it's up to the moderator who banned a player if that player will ever come back. Really, the final decision for permanent ban reversal is up to senior staff, but as far as I know they always depend on our recommendations. However in this case, the perma ban was done by senior staff. In rare cases a player can be IP banned from the forums, as well. {edit} Also, I want to be clear that there is no guarantee that a perma banned player will ever be let back. I hope other staff will be along soon to share their wisdom with the community regarding this topic.
