  1. Respawn anchors don't work in the End, nor do beds, since the update.
Solution: re-enable beds in the End.
  2. wait....

beds in outer end islands don't work?

  4. This is a good short-term solution until a better one is found.

  5. how 'bout beds in outer end islands work, but not on the main island. I usually kill the end dragon with beds.
  6. Keep the end difficult.
  7. I don't know if that's exactly possible. This is an easy, simple fix that is intended to be temporary.
  8. Considering the difficult state of the end, I think that respawn anchors should be the item for use in the end- and not beds.

  9. problem with respawn anchors is that just 4 deaths fully charged, and Any player/s can use your 4 up, so they are unreliable anyway
  10. The feasibility of this idea depends solely on whether or not the devs can set two different behaviors for the same block in two different dimensions. If so, then it's a simple fix: Just make beds function in the end as they do in the overworld, and have them explode in the nether. If not, then the best solution I could see is either make respawn anchors work in all dimensions like beds used to (right click to set spawn, which overrides the vanilla behavior of exploding when not in the nether) or use a completely separate block as an EMC-excusive way to respawn in the end.

  11. As I mentioned to some people over this last week. For now, we are going to re-enable bed spawns in the end. This means that they will cease exploding there.

As I mentioned somewhere, ideally Mojang will just add a 3rd spawn setting block specific to the end. I have an idea on an alternative though... We will see.

This change will be effective in the next bug fix update.
  12. This means you'll have to use respawn anchors if you want to nuke the dragon- it'll cost a lot more now. Get trading with piglins and clerics to get the materials!
