This is a better debate than that whole pineapple on pizza mess, and the title speaks for itself: Which is better: Chicken or Beef flavored ramen? This is a judgment free zone! If you're the sociopath that likes the soy flavored ramen then there is no shame to share that in this thread! Everyone's got beef with the beef flavor and it makes me sad cause it's my fav!
"ramen" literally means "windows" in Dutch.... and my windows don't need to have a taste, as I generally don't lick or eat them. As for the ramen that google finds me, I never really have those, so I can't give an opinion on them, but both beef and chicken ramen sound good to me!
I've always enjoyed eating a bowl of chicken flavored ramen. At about 50 cents a bowl it can't be beat when your on a tight budget.
Meanwhile, Korea has no such Instant Noodles, flavored "Beef" or "Chicken". Only superior Shin Ramen. I've never actually tried those, so I can't actually tell if they're inferior or not.
"Real" ramen is far better than instant but for me to get anything other than instant I would have to drive 90 minutes to get into Boston.
word I'm afraid of trying genuine ramen because there is a lot of food that I don't like but at the same time I really do want to try it. There are plenty of decent ramen places here in Chicago, but I can't go to any because we're still somewhat locked down, even though some restaurants have reopened. Not risking it. one day, though
I have had something similar to that and although I ate it my insides were screaming ENOUGH!! From my experience the spice used in ramen noodles is like 100x's the spice used in other food, like Spanish dishes. Maybe it's the combination of the variety of pepper, the oil infused with the spice, or even the temperature of the soup but when the package indicates 2x spicy that is too spicy for me. When it is truely safe to go out eating I am going to really splurge. I will probably end up in the hospital due to over eating.
