[SUGGESTION] Add 24-hour clock on the forums (accepted)

Not something that will drastically improve the site, but I think me and my fellow EU-players would appreciate a 24-hour option!

Sure I do. But easier when looking on auction posts on when last bid was and so on. As I said, not something that probably should be first on the fix-list, but a nice improvement imo.

I do kind of agree with Uzack here. Living somewhere that has no ties to the 12-hour clock makes it hard to understand forum times. I get that the server is american, but doesn't hurt to make it simpler for those of us that are not?

(I know other countries than the US also have 12-hour clock, but most countries do use the 24-hour one)

It genuinely took me years to understand what 12:30 PM is and what 12:30 AM is. The way I understand which is which now is by remembering that the way it is is the wrong way. What is 12:30 PM should be written as 12:30 AM, and vice versa.

It still requires me way more thought than should be necessary to understand the times in for example an auction, so for me it would be great if this were to be added.

I agree that this would be nice. I hope it can be done. The only improvements to the forum in the past five years have been to the homepage, I think. This could be because there were no other improvements to be done, but it could also be because there is great difficulty with changing other aspects.
Anyway, actually adding a preference option for it would seem quite difficult, to me. And of course changing it for everyone would be a no-go (this is a USA-centred server, after all).

Living in a 12-hour clock area in the USA, I prefer the 24 hour clock . My family is military so I grew up with the 24 hour style clock and I didn't realize anyone used a different clock until the 3rd grade. I would totally support a preference option!

Uzack, you can easily achieve this in the settings of the OS you use on your computer. Not only that, but it would be a clock that is always on the screen too, rather than one that's limited to the forums.

I think you might be misunderstanding the question. He is, or so I understand, asking if the time that is shown beneath posts can be shown in the 24 hour format as well. A reason for why this is convenient is described in my post.
