Last month I hired a two person team to build me a universal tree farm, but unfortunately they both went derelict. Leaving me with a half-finished farm that I have no clue on how to finish. I have tried to message them since but no word yet. So, I'm looking for someone to either finish it or build a new one if they can't. I'll even offer to tear down the old one if it comes to that. Hmm, I've never heard of a normal tree farm that does dark oak as well, I wonder what design the original builders were using.
No clue, but there are three to four levers built. At this point, I would just be happy if it did the 1x1 trees and acacia trees.
I took a look at it, and the best I can tell, they were using this design, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2OdnALsgE0 by ilmango. It isn't equipped for dark oak, but can do acacia. The part of the build your workers have done appears to be just the tree making chamber, although it isn't finished. Then, judging by the video, there needs to be a log breaking system outside of that. The options for automatically breaking logs are tnt and wither bosses, neither of which work in town, so you'd be stuck breaking logs with an axe. I would recommend looking through that video and seeing if its end result is something you're sure you want to keep. If it isn't, then maybe browse tutorials on youtube for something you think will be suitable for your plot. Or just keep the video saved to show the next person willing to give it a shot.
