  1. The first snapshot for 1.15 is now out and it contains lots of bugs!

    Not those types of bugs!

    Its called BEE'S 🐝

This thread is for telling what you think about the update as it comes out and what you would like to see in this update

  3. We never gonna update at this point :D Dang Mojang, chill for a bit.
  4. I'm absolutely buzzing for this upgrade
  5. I think the renaissance that Minecraft has experienced lately is going to lead to a huge push in content. I mean Minecraft is still making massive amounts of money and it has the might of Microsoft to back it up :p 1.15 will probably be comparable to 1.13 or 1.14 in terms of content, and I say the full release comes out by the end of this year.
  6. Wow Mojang is buzzing through this fast
  7. Sigh
  8. I wonder if the bees can sting you and if there will be a bee repellent we can brew up.

  9. They can sting you if you agro them or bother their hive
  10. I watched a few videos of the Minecraft bee mob, then I researched bees in real-life for compassion. I love to learn interesting facts about real-world things vs. their implementation into video games I am familiar with, such as Minecraft.

    * Bamboo and kelp grow very quickly in Minecraft which mirrors real-life. Bamboo and giant kelp are two of the fastest growing plants on Earth.

    * Bees, honey and bumblebees specifically, are integral to nearly all temperate ecosystems. Bees collect nectar from flowers to make honey while simultaneously pollinating the plants, enabling them to reproduce.
    • Real-life bees do not breed in the same way Minecraft's mob does. Only the queen of a beehive can mate and lay eggs. -- Mojang has not turned down on adding queen bees yet.
    • Bumblebees (and many other insects) effectively sacrifice themselves if they have to sting. The stinger literally rips off the tail-end of their abdomen. The poisoning aspect comes from an internal sac organ.
  11. A campfire's smoke under a bee hive/bee nest will prevent the inhabitants from stinging you.

No 1.15 snapshot was suppose to release until after Minecon next month. So the snapshot from today is surprising.
Bees aren't a serious addition to Minecraft. Technical players would like everything to have a functional and viable purpose, but they do not have to.

  12. The thing is they're really not going that fast, lol. 1.13 came out July 2018 and 1.14 came out April 2019, almost a nine month gap between updates

  13. Although i'm hoping that caves get an update, OMG BEE"S ARE THE BEST! Also, has anyone else realized that minecraft updates are leaning towards real world problems? 1.13 had ocean stuff, corresponding with ocean problems. 1.14 added pandas, and they were endangered for a while. and now, they're adding bees, which irl, they are dying off. Idk, just thought it was a cool tidbit
  14. I can't beelieve bees are finally going to be in minecraft
  15. I feel like it's actually been unusually long since the last snapshot. :p Probably because there was a lot to fix about 1.14.
  16. Lets hope that they make 1.15 stable before release!

Me looks back at the last 2 major updates and laughs never going to happen

  17. That's the point right there. Stop with the add ons this time and fix your game. Then going forward it should be more stable. As it is now, it's usually a train wreck.
  18. and they look amazing :p
  19. I felt like I recognised that... and quickly realised what it was.

    Behold.

    Thomas the Train!

  20. Well, I guess Minecraft 1.15 is where I'll stop using my studio headset and use my $5 earbuds instead...
I don't want to hear bees flying around me with insane clarity... ._.
