[Connection Issue] An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host

Discussion in 'Empire Help & Support' started by fadedmartian, Jul 13, 2019.

  1. Hello,

I am constantly receiving an error message when trying to connect onto EMC. It reads: "Internal Exception: java.IOException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host".

I am having no issues what so ever connecting to any other servers besides any EMC servers.

This issue has only become worse and worse for me. Any help would be much appreciated.

  10. Its been happening for months, lol
  11. Try restarting the launcher, and if that doesn't work, make a new mc instalation
  12. already did this multiple times-- still happens.
  13. Ah, I did have a disconnecting issue a month ago, but I'm relatively certain that had to do with my dying wifi extender.
  14. Faded.. it's wifi, bud. Wifi.
I'm having a lot of this because of the wifi I borrow from the library... ask anyone who's been on 8 lately and they can probably pop off how many times I've lost my patience with the hotspot...
Nothing to do with EMC- strange if it's nowhere else...
  15. Nah cause it would be doing it much more often then... besides it only happens on EMC

  16. What Faded said, and I'm fairly certain Faded is lucky enough not to have to use wifi on his desktops. :p

  17. Use ethernet and this will go away :p
  18. Wrong

  19. If the router is bad, a person can have issues even through an ethernet cable. (speaking from experience - all I did to fix was replace my router)

Responding to Faded. I am not hearing any evidence that this is on the server's end. I know you say it only happens on EMC, but I think that there is something wrong on your end. That is, until someone gives evidence to the contrary.
