Hello, I am constantly receiving an error message when trying to connect onto EMC. It reads: "Internal Exception: java.IOException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host". I am having no issues what so ever connecting to any other servers besides any EMC servers. This issue has only become worse and worse for me. Any help would be much appreciated.
So how i get past it is when the message comes up i quit to servers page and i try to enter the server again
I personally haven't had this issue myself in the past 2 days (hadn't been online for a while before then).
Ah, I did have a disconnecting issue a month ago, but I'm relatively certain that had to do with my dying wifi extender.
Faded.. it's wifi, bud. Wifi. I'm having a lot of this because of the wifi I borrow from the library... ask anyone who's been on 8 lately and they can probably pop off how many times I've lost my patience with the hotspot... Nothing to do with EMC- strange if it's nowhere else...
What Faded said, and I'm fairly certain Faded is lucky enough not to have to use wifi on his desktops.
If the router is bad, a person can have issues even through an ethernet cable. (speaking from experience - all I did to fix was replace my router) Responding to Faded. I am not hearing any evidence that this is on the server's end. I know you say it only happens on EMC, but I think that there is something wrong on your end. That is, until someone gives evidence to the contrary.
If it is helpful at all, this topic has been discussed before. https://empireminecraft.com/threads/issue-java-io-ioexception-an-existing-connection-was-forcibly-closed-by-the-remote-host.69988/ Not that a solution was confirmed.
