Hey all, as some of you know, I am crazy when it comes to my gigantic builds and as you would expect I need areas dug out for them. I have long since experimented with various methods of mining/excavation to try and find the most efficient ,cost efficient, and fastest method. I was wondering what methods do all you use? I typically just go for the classic Haste II Eff V in blocked sections.
You could do what I do: Get a diamond pick, enchant it with Unbreaking III, Efficiency V, Fortune III and Mending. The only thing that could make this pick faster is with the "Mining Haste" buff from a beacon. Pair that with some XP bottles and you never have to stop mining.
I always joked that TNT duplicaters would get the work done so much faster than by hand. But seeing as that's illegal. I have had to look for options or people to hire 😂
TNT is always an option... Voters tools aren't the quickest but they are unbreaking. No need to stop, mend, or carry around spare XP bottles. Add a Haste 2 beacon and you have something quite fast. Having the complete set (pick, axe, and shovel) make light work of anything you would come across. Getting more hands on the job does make it a lot faster, especially when one of them demands a proper haste beacon. That said, I use diamond silk+ub3+effV+mending + haste ][. I also spend too much time and rupees on various tools.; not enough on XP bottles, as I never carry those around (or even think to). My experience: digging out a res, by hand, with stone tools, voters tools, efficient tools, with a beacon (finally, after a helper demanded it) and with a helper.
If only there was a SS service for effectively using //cut on a section in the wild. I would use that so much I'd need a personal SS.
Using a God diamond pickaxe with all max enchants is the way to go. Unless you want to do a deadmon5 method witch is TNT. XD
On EMC I love using Mineral Mincers + Haste II beacons Mineral mincers last a long time and have efficiency 8
