  1. Zbid had a good look around, trying to get his bearing, to no avail : everywhere, trees, trees, trees, vines, bushes, and more trees... the scuffling sounds and strange whistles of unseen wildlife was making him uneasy, as well as the stuffy hothouse heat despite the gloom down there, far away from the canopy. He would have to climb to the top of one of these giants to decide in which direction to go, but first thing first : it was still early morning, and he needed at least a good axe, a shovel of some sort, maybe a pick, or even a sword, if he wanted to survive the first night. That meant a crafting table, too. And torches... so much to do... He crawled his way through the dense vegetation to the nearest large tree, and started punching upward, in a makeshift staircase dug into the trunk, toward the top, gathering wood as he went.

several hours and painfully bruised knuckles later... Having climbed back down from the tree top, dizzy with the height, and disappointed at the sight of a never-ending sea of leaves, he had started on his tools.
Well, the branches from these trees weren't that good for shafting, given the time it took him to craft the basic tools. At least vines were useful, and plentiful too.
watching the finished products lying on the grass of his artificially created little clearing, Zbid realized night was getting nearer than he thought. Damn... The bleating of some sheep -or whatever was the local version of the woolly beast- could be heard from the depth of the forest, but it was impossible to know how far the sound was coming from, given the weird way sounds echoed off the densely packed tree-trunks and shrubbery. And there was no way he was going to get caught by the dark somewhere in there, with a glorified wooden stick as his sole weapon.
So, he finished clearing the grass, dug 8 cobblestones from an outcrop to make a furnace in which he made some charcoal, for torches. While the charcoal was smouldering, he built a rather homely shack with door and fenced windows, out of the jungle wood he had gathered. Even flattened an irregular little path with his wooden shovel leading to the door and replanted a yellow flower by it, and put a few torches around on poles -lone fences-. There! very Robinson-like! Too bad he didn't have a skull to put on one of these poles.

    Sometimes later.
Zbid awoke in a sweat, partly because of the infernal damp heat that stubbornly clung to the forest floor, partly because he had been dreaming of... of what exactly, he couldn't remember, but it included a salad and dry leaves, a SCARY salad and VERY flammable dry leaves... The furnace had died to amber, and the only light was coming from the torches outside, through the fenced-windows, casting squarish patterns on the ceiling of the shack.
He dozed off again, only to startle back to awareness.
What was that? He tried to concentrate on the noises outside, the croaking of frogs high up, the rustling of some animals in the bushes, the hissing and ... hissing? rustle?
Jumping to his feet, he failed around for the sword, ended up with the shovel, cast it aside, found the axe. well, the axe would do! He carefully inched toward the windows, peering outside cautiously. The blinding light of the torches killed his night sight. He tried to make sense out of the kaleidoscopic mess of brightly lit leaves and deep shadows. Nothing.
But what was that? was it a very very soft padding of very short footsteps? He concentrated on the cactus like shape he could barely distinguish at the edge of the clearing. Was it just a stump? Had it move? were these shadows cast by the torches, or an ugly downward frown and squarish creepy eyes?
Oh no... no way... He wasn't going to go out there to scare it off, whatever it was. Checking the lock to be sure, he sat back by the furnace, rekindling it and wishing he had something to cook. Something meaty. Definitely not vegetables.
...and dozed back to an uneasy slumber...

  2. Alright! All four of ya'll have responded!
I will try and keep it going by tonight or tomorrow. :)
  3. The chaos continues comes once again, and many people are bested by the wilderness!
Type your answer corresponding with your story, and the story will change! Every choice from now on will either lead to death or prosperity! Choose wisely!! It is based off the world of minecraft, but some scenarios might add something that isn't in the game. Example: Player out of breath, getting very hot or cold, or something minor added to environment to make it more realistic.

FallOutHood: You decide to stay in the village. You make friends with some of the villagers, and they give you a couple blocks of wood. You ask where they got them but they don’t respond. You shrug and walk around, asking for lodging. One villager offers you a deal. You can stay in his house if you give him some bread. Do you give him your bread for lodging or find someone else?

CarFryer (dead): You begin to get some wood for a nice house. You chop down a lot of trees, and you end up with several stacks of wood. However, when you are chopping down your thirteenth tree, an arrow pierces your leather chest plate. You are startled, for it appears to be fired from a crossbow, and you begin to run. You hear something chasing you, and a loud roar echoes through the trees. A massive beast breaks through a bush and slams into your blocky body, sucking up the rest of your health bar. Your inventory plops to the ground, and the ravager snorts with pride. The End!

607: You decide to get a chest plate. You are now faced with a decision. You want to get a bow, but you need string. String comes from spiders, so you need to go mob-hunting. However, you could just continue mining to get more iron. Do you risk mob-hunting, or do you go down into your mine?

Zbid (dead): You quickly dig a hole in the ground and cover yourself up. You wait for a while, and when you think the coast is clear, you break the block above you. You expect it to still be daytime, but something is blocking the light. You look up and scream. The waiting creeper drops in your hole and blows you to kingdom come. The End!

You made the decisions! However, CarFryer and Zbid chose unwisely and they are out of the game! Thanks for participating!

We turn our attention to FallOutHood and 607 as they continue to survive in the wilderness. How long will they survive? Who will win?

  4. BOOOOM!

well, thanks for the opportunity to have some fun and creative writing! We'll do that again at some point. Good luck to our last two contestants. My advice : do not hide in holes!

  7. I will in fact try to get some string! I have got armor, and spiders are easy to keep at a distance, because of their width. And a bow seems very useful!

  8. Waiting on FallOut!

Has 607 made the wrong move? Will he make it?
Or will FallOut make a wrong decision? Will he win?

Or will both die in the wilderness? Will I have to split the 10K and keep the promo?

  9. Find someone else, I need my bread! :)

  10. This Is It.
The Faceoff Between FallOut And 607.
Read The Scenarios Below To See Who Makes It.

FallOutHood: You decline the offer and look around somewhere else. You don’t find any other place, and you are disappointed. You make your way back to the villager who wanted bread in exchange for lodging, but he says no because someone took the offer when you were gone. You wander around, not really sure what to do. The sun sets, and you still have no where to go. You hear the moan of zombies coming fast, and you really need to get inside a house. You bang on the doors, but they don’t let you in. The creepy sounds get louder, and you can see the zombies start to bang on the doors as well. You try to hide yourself in a hole in the ground, but it is too late. You are attacked by a group of zombies and your inventory plops to the ground. The End!

607: When darkness falls, you go out into the wilderness. You hear many different kinds of monsters around you, but you need to find one in particular. Finally, you find a black spider at the top of a tree. When it sees you, it hops down from the tree and begins to attack you. You have a wooden sword, and you swing at the creature ferociously. It doesn’t seem to do a lot of damage, and you are dealing quite a bit of damage yourself. If only you had an iron sword! You hear something behind you, and you are suddenly blown off your feet. The creeper and the spider had been working together, and it paid off! Your inventory floats upon the ground, and the spider cackles. The End!

    What a turn of events!

FallOutHood AND 607 both made the wrong choice! However, they were the last remaining survivors. I will pay you 5K each as soon as I can! The promo will not be given out due to the tie.

FallOut, if you would've given the villager bread for lodging, you would've been safe from the danger.
607, if you would've made an iron sword and a helmet you could've bested the spider and the creeper.

Thank you ALL that participated! I may or may not have another season, but it will be a little different. I would have one scenario and there would be several of you trying to beat it. You would all be given the same set of questions.

This season took me forever to make all of the scenarios, so that is why the next will probably be different.

    Thanks again!! :D

  12. I stand behind my choice. ;) I didn't think I would decide to go upstairs, that seems unreasonable. :p But oh well. Fun story! :)
